Glenn Close's Sunset Video Raises Concerns Among Fans

Glenn Close's Sunset Video Raises Concerns Among Fans

Glenn Close left fans worried after she shared an emotional video of her 'watching the sun go down' at her home. The actor, 79, took to Instagram to share a sweet video from her home in Bozeman, Montana, at the end of a day. Appearing slightly breathless, she told the camera: "Hi everyone, I’m home. "Calming down, wearing my mama’s shirt, letting the wind blow through my white hair. Watching the sun go down. I feel blessed. Hi to you all. Bye." She added in the caption that her beloved Havanese dog, Pip, was right behind her at the time. Fans were quick to flood the comments, with some worrying about the actor, writing: "Girl get in the house we gotta keep you safe," and: "So glad you’re home safe, Glenn! Thanks for the update. Lots of love." Others added: "Glen. It’s not the time for you to be doing too much now… we can’t lose you too!" and: "Glenn Close you better be safe you know we love you girl stay somewhere safe and calm. We need you good." Another commented: "Glenn get behind us because this year is really pushing our nerves, enough is enough. We love you." Someone else pointed out the breathing, writing: "Ummm…you’re breathing a little too heavy for us Glenn. Go sit down and stay inside please. Do it for us." Glenn Close's latest post left fans worried. Credit: Samir Hussein/WireImage/Getty Images The response comes after the news broke that Dolly Parton had died at the age of 80 following a private battle with cancer, shortly followed by the news of Tim Curry's death a day later. Glenn was recently announced as an honorary Oscar winner, and will be among the honorees at the 17th Governors Awards which will be held on November 15. The star has previously been nominated for eight Academy Awards for acting but has never won, which is the most of any living performer without a win. On June 10, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Board of Governors announced that she, along with Sir Ridley Scott and animator Floyd Norman, will receive Academy Honorary Awards. Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor said in a statement: "Throughout her extraordinary body of work, Glenn Close’s unparalleled emotional range has brought to life some of the most complex characters in cinema." Addressing the number of times she's been nominated for an Oscar without a win during Variety‘s Actors on Actors with Pete Davidson in 2021, she told him "it might be cool to never get" an Oscar statue. She joked: "Is it better to be wheeled out in a wheelchair and get the lifetime achievement award? You don’t have to make a speech." Featured image credit: Instagram/Glenn Close

Jelly Roll Stirs Debate After Addressing Trump Jokes Backlash

Jelly Roll Stirs Debate After Addressing Trump Jokes Backlash

Jelly Roll opened up about his political views after taking heat for jokes about President Donald Trump during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest hosting gig. The country music star, 41, gave an impassioned monologue to kick off his final night as guest host of the ABC late-night talk show on Thursday, August 27, addressing speculation about his political affiliation. “It is funny, before this week, everybody thought I was MAGA, and now they think I’m some sort of liberal snowflake,” he said. “I guess I’m just not used to people projecting their beliefs onto me, although a few years ago, I was so fat you could project a movie onto me.” Jelly Roll then played a clip of a conservative political commentator calling him out over his Trump jokes this week, pointing out that the singer previously praised the UFC Freedom 250 event held at the White House in June. “Just because I watched a fight on TV doesn't mean I support everything this administration does, just like hosting Jimmy Kimmel’s show doesn't mean I have all of Jimmy Kimmel’s politics,” he said. He added, “Sure, I lean left on some things, but like most folks, I'm pretty down the middle. I am a Christian, I am a country music singer, I'm a farmer, I'm a bow hunter, and most of the things I eat I prefer to get with a stick and a string.” Jelly Roll then went on to address his interview backstage at the 2026 Grammys in February, when he was asked if he had any comment on “what’s going on in the country right now,” referring to the political climate, to which he responded, “Not really.” On Thursday, the singer admitted he “had a microphone and I didn’t use it the right way.” “So I’m going to try and do the right thing right now,” he continued. “Human dignity isn't Republican nor Democrat. Compassion isn't left-wing, and mercy isn't right-wing. Pain and healing knows no partisanship. Hurting hearts are more important than poll numbers. And there are no boundaries or borders for broken families.” Jelly Roll also mentioned his father, Horace “Buddy” DeFord, who died in 2019 and was a United States Marine Corps veteran. “This might be a hot take, but out of respect for him, and everybody who has ever served and continues to serve this country, I will always shake the hand of the sitting president of the United States when asked,” he said. “My father would have been disappointed had I done anything other than that.” “I'm proud that I was able to shake the president of the United States. I'm also proud that I live in a country where I can make jokes about him," he added. “Ain’t that what’s great about being an American? The democracy, the freedom of speech.” He reiterated, “I will shake the hand of any president that occupies that office because a handshake is not an endorsement. A conversation is not allegiance. And a joke is not a political point of view. And in my business, taking a picture with a political figure, or anybody else for that matter, doesn't mean you agree or disagree with their policies or politics. More often than not, I f***ing don’t.”

Kylie Jenner's Knicks Game Fashion Hack Has Everyone Talking

Kylie Jenner sat down with two of her besties on their podcast “Better Half” on Wednesday. Better Half with Stas & VicKylie Jenner didn’t want to be the butt of any jokes. The reality star was a mainstay at various New York Knicks games this year, joining boyfriend Timothée Chalamet court side in oft-coordinated blue and orange looks that have included custom Chrome Hearts, a “Knicks blue” Birkin bag and more.On Wednesday, the beauty mogul sat down with friends Anastasia Karanikolaou and Victoria Villarroel for an episode of their podcast “Better Half,” and discussed the secret behind her sporty looks.Though the pair made fun of her for wearing an oversized tee to the Knicks game, she chatted about her strategic reasons why. Charles Wenzelberg/New York Post“It’s just my a— crack … when I’m sitting it’s just all a— in the back,” she laughed. Charles Wenzelberg / New York PostThough Karanikolaou made fun of Jenner for wearing an oversized tee at one game, Jenner rebutted.“Ok, when you have a big fat juicy ass and you’re sitting down and you’re wearing a little tank top …” she continued, “It’s just my ass crack … when I’m sitting it’s just all ass in the back.”Her solution, aside from a roomy top? “I always have to bring a jacket or something so I can enjoy the game and not worry if, you know, I’m naked,” she joked.Continuing, “And I wanted to wear a big tee and just not think about it and just enjoy.”Jenner continued, “I always have to bring a jacket or something so I can enjoy the game and not worry if, you know, I’m naked.” Getty ImagesShe shared, however, that she would like to enlarge her breast implants at some point, adding, “I want my tits to walk in before I do.” Better Half with Stas & VicCase in point: back in May, Jenner slipped into a pair of dark denim, a slim white tank, and tied an orange jacket around her waist to avoid any unwanted wardrobe malfunctions. In contrast, there is one part of her body she would like to showcase even more, however. On the same podcast, she added that she wants “bigger and more out there” breast implants, adding, “I say it every day … I want my t—ts to walk in before I do.”Last year, she confirmed she had, in fact, gone under the knife for breast augmentation, replying to a request on social media with her exact specs: “445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!!” Community GuidelinesWelcome to the Page Six Community! Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations. Post Malone's Jaw-Dropping 20-Carat Ring for Fiancee Sparks Buzz

Post Malone had a little help from his go-to jewelers in picking out fiancée Christy Lee’s stunning engagement ring. When proposing to Lee earlier this month, Malone, 31, chose a bold and big sparkler, weighing over 20 carats, according to Isaac Bokhoor and Sam Tack’s Angel City Jewelers. “Blessed to have been able to work on this for my brother @postmalone What a project!” the company wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, August 26, sharing a close-up video of the diamond ring. The show-stopping piece featured the dazzling natural diamond in the center of a simple gold band. “20+ carats immaculate stone,” Angel City Jewelers added via social media. “Congrats bubba! #postmalone #ring #engagementring #naturaldiamond #angelcityjewelers.” The company has worked with the “Sunflower” singer on several occasions over the years, including designing his Dallas Cowboys diamond-encrusted pendant necklace. (TMZ previously reported that the piece was worth $250,000.) Angel City Jewelers were also responsible for Malone’s 23-carat diamond encrusted-pinky ring with a 5-carat emerald cut center stone, which he showed off via Instagram in 2022. While Malone (real name Austin Richard Post) hasn’t publicly commented on his relationship milestone, Lee’s friends confirmed their engagement via Instagram on August 19. “Mom and dad got engaged,” Matthew Madonna wrote via his Instagram Story, sharing a video of the pair cozying up after the special moment. Some of the stylist’s other pals shared pictures from Malone’s property in Utah, revealing that the group celebrated the engagement with a formal dinner outside. “So happy for you both,” model Brooke Donovan wrote via her Instagram Story, sharing a snap of Lee kissing her fiancé, who was wearing a white cowboy hat, white button-down shirt, cheetah belt and jeans for the occasion. Lee, who studied at Parsons School of Design in New York, wore a brick-colored dress with lace ribbon detailing at the waist when she said, “Yes,” to Malone. While Lee was on Malone’s ranch for the weekend, she also enjoyed some more relaxed activities like driving shotgun in the singer’s car. Phoebe Mckeaan documented the sweet moment via her Instagram Story, zooming in on Lee’s engagement ring as the bride-to-be held onto Malone’s neck mid-ride. Us previously reached out to Malone’s rep for comment. Prior to proposing to Lee, Malone was engaged to Hee Sung “Jamie” Park. The pair welcomed a daughter in May 2022 before calling it quits in November 2024. Malone moved on with Lee in early 2025. The duo were first romantically linked that January when the rapper was spotted leaving a hotel in Rome with Lee. The couple briefly split in June 2025 before rekindling their romance.

Illinois Boy's Brush with Death: The Poisonous Weed That Almost Took His Life

Illinois Boy's Brush with Death: The Poisonous Weed That Almost Took His Life

An Illinois boy suffered anaphylactic shock and nearly died when he touched a poisonous weed while doing yard work with his family, reports said.Rayden Vollrath, 7, was helping his stepmom and father clear his family’s Pike County property when he pulled out pokeweeds, a highly toxic plant known for its purple berries.“Long story short, he came in contact with pokeweed and the milk from the stalk got on his nails, I’m guessing or some sort,” his mother, Danielle Carnicelli, told WGEM. Rayden Vollrath was hospitalized after suffering a serious allergic reaction to pokeweed, a toxic plant. Danielle Ruhl / FacebookPokeweed is toxic to human beings and animals, and can be deadly if ingested. Iva – stock.adobe.com“He went to scratch his face and then ended up having an allergic reaction and then progressed to anaphylactic shock,” he added.Ryan’s face and arms began swelling, with the burning sensations taking over as the 7-year-old struggled to breath, leading him to be hospitalized for two days. “It hurt. A lot. My chest was burning and I couldn’t breathe,” Ryan recalled of the experience. Carnicelli described the experience as “traumatic,” recalling how nurses threw rags on him to try and fight the swelling at 3 a.m. because the pain kept Ryan awake. Rayden said he suffered terrible burning sensations and had trouble breathing during the ordeal. Danielle Ruhl / FacebookIt was at the hospital that Carnicelli learned that not only was her son exposed to pokeweed, he was also allergic to the toxic plant. The family was sent home with an EpiPen and eight different medications to help with the symptoms, including the swelling that left his face puffed and red. “Rayden is a spit fire and with all glory to god himself for this recovery,” Carnicelli wrote in a Facebook update. The relieved mother said that the episode served as a learning experience that can help spread the word over the dangers of pokeweed. All parts of the pokeweed plant are toxic to humans, including its roots, leaves and stems, according to the National Institutes of Health. Its sap can cause severe skin irritation and blistering, and it can be fatal to both humans and pets if eaten.

I haven’t been OK for what feels like a very, very long time. I am not OK. But I have hope that I will get to OK.” Threets continued, “I’m on the struggle bookmobile. It’s gonna take a long time for me to be OK. It’s going to take a long time, but I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ to the multitude of doctors, nurses and mental health workers I saw — it’s not enough, but thank you, you saved my life.”

Kylie Jenner Opens Up About the Promise She Made to Herself

Kylie Jenner Opens Up About the Promise She Made to Herself

Kylie Jenner thinks she “absolutely” grew up quickly and missed out on some things by having children at a young age. "COVID was my college experience — when everything was shut down and no one was really working,” Jenner, 29, said during an interview with WhoWhatWear published on Thursday, August 27. “It was the first time that I slowed down, and the world started to feel safe again. For the first time in my life, there wasn't a schedule. Sometimes, I feel like a robot, where everything is planned out for me. Khy meetings on Wednesday, blah, blah, blah.” She continued, “But COVID felt like I had a college experience — friends over all the time, and we were always celebrating something or trying to just be together. I was like, 'Wow, I never had that thing of, like, no other outside responsibilities — except Stormi.'" Jenner welcomed her daughter, Stormi, in 2018 with on-again, off-again ex Travis Scott. The pair then expanded their family with son Aire, who was born four years later. Jenner and Scott have since split and the Kardashians star has moved on with boyfriend Timothée Chalamet. "I made a promise to myself at 25 that I was not going to have any more children — right now — and really just enjoy the last half of my 20s because the first half was like, 'You're pregnant,' and then it's the year of recovery, and, you know, my mental state, my postpartum depression, and all those things,” she said. “It felt like I lost some of those young years of my life.” Throughout the interview, the reporter noted that Jenner said she’s “almost 30” more than once — potentially noting that she’s ready to turn the chapter into a new decade. When asked if there’s anything she’d like to leave behind or she’s changed her mind about, Jenner replied, "I think having an enormous life.” "I changed my mind about that,” she explained. “When I was younger, I got really excited, and I got the craziest house I could in Beverly Hills, and I just kind of went for it. I've realized that my life got too big, and I said, 'Yeah, never mind.' I think I lost control of my life a little bit for a while there." Elsewhere, Jenner reflected on feeling like “the clock is ticking” despite being “still so young.” “So you're trying… I'm trying… I don't want to look back on life and be like, There's things that I wish I did when I was younger. Even though I already have children — so young — I feel like I lived such an adult life when I was young, and I'm trying to make sure that I don't have any regrets and to do brave things and give myself more opportunities or take advantage of the ones I have,” she said. She continued, "Kim [Kardashian] inspires me in that way because she does a lot of things that excite her but, at the same time, scare her. And it's amazing to watch her achieve and chase her dreams. I'm just trying to do more things, choose a few things a year, get out of my comfort zone, and just go for it."

Vin Diesel's Emotional Tribute to Dolly Parton Leaves Fans Divided

Vin Diesel's Emotional Tribute to Dolly Parton Leaves Fans Divided

Vin Diesel shocked his Instagram followers by singing a Dolly Parton song in an unexpected tribute to the country music icon after her death. The Fast & Furious actor, 59, posted a black-and-white throwback photo of Parton on Wednesday, August 26, alongside a two-minute audio clip of himself covering "I Will Always Love You," which the late singer wrote and recorded in 1973 before Whitney Houston popularized it with her rendition in 1992's The Bodyguard. At one point, Diesel (real name Mark Sinclair Vincent) appeared to become emotional, with his voice cracking as he crooned the lyrics, "So, goodbye / Please, don't cry." The Chronicles of Riddick star simply captioned his post with an emoji of prayer hands. "Vin, you never cease to amaze me," one fan commented. "You are a man of many talents. A once in a generation actor, writer and now singer? Save some talent for the rest of us buddy!" Another begged Diesel to "please release the full version on streaming" services. However, some of the movie star's followers trolled him over his surprising cover of the classic ballad. "I THOUGHT THIS WAS A JOKE," one person commented. "WHAT IS HE DOING." Another quipped, "I can't believe this account is free." Parton died on Tuesday, August 25, four days after being hospitalized in Nashville. She was 80. The 9 to 5 actress' team later confirmed that she had lost a "brief battle" with an undisclosed type of cancer. "A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth and kindness that made us all feel like family," her rep said in a statement to Us, adding that her "legacy is one of love, compassion and resilience." Since her death, countless loved ones have taken to social media to honor Parton, including her goddaughter Miley Cyrus. "I have an angel by my side. I always have," the "Flowers" singer, 33, wrote in part via Instagram on Wednesday. "I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We're in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things." Parton's rep shared that a "small, private service" will be held for the Grammy winner's immediate family. She will then be laid to rest in Nashville beside her longtime husband, Carl Dean, who died in March 2025 at age 82.

Ted Cruz's Presidential Ambitions Spark Buzz Amid Potential 2028 GOP Clash

Ted Cruz's Presidential Ambitions Spark Buzz Amid Potential 2028 GOP Clash

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) acknowledged Wednesday that he still wants to be president – days after he insisted the Republican Party isn’t going to anoint Vice President JD Vance as President Trump’s successor in 2028. “It’s no secret that I want to be president,” Cruz said during an interview on Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s podcast. Cruz said “time will tell” if he decides to run for president again. Youtube/ LT. DANWhen the Republican “Lt. Dan” host asked Cruz, who ran for president in 2016, if he plans to run again, Cruz responded, “Time will tell.”“I will say, this is a bug that history has proved is rarely ended,” the senator said of his White House ambitions. “It is a permanent and often fatal bug.”Cruz’s remarks come after he told MS NOW host Ali Vitali on Monday that the GOP hasn’t coalesced around Vance as the party’s 2028 presidential nominee. “Oh, no – there is going to be a full discussion about who we are and what we believe,” he said. “I’ll certainly be part of the discussion,” Cruz added. The Texas Republican argued that ahead of the next presidential election, there must be a full-throated foreign policy debate over whether the GOP wants to be “an isolationist party that withdraws from the world or do we believe in American leadership.”On economics, Cruz contends the party must decide whether it aims to be “a small-government, free-market conservative party” or a “big-government, nanny-state party.” Cruz ran against Trump for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. Bloomberg via Getty ImagesCruz insists the GOP will not anoint Vance as Trump’s successor in 2028. AP Photo/Gabe SouzaVance, who has repeatedly described himself as a skeptic of foreign military intervention, is viewed by many as the favorite to take the mantle from Trump in 2028. The vice president has said he won’t decide on whether he’ll run to succeed Trump until after the midterm elections. Trump has also floated Secretary of State Marco Rubio as a potential part of the GOP’s 2028 presidential ticket. Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whose term ends in January, is also believed to have interest in making another run at the White House.

Nebraska Police Captain Faces Backlash After Leaving Toddler in Hot Van

Nebraska Police Captain Faces Backlash After Leaving Toddler in Hot Van

A police captain in Nebraska and her partner were cited with child abuse after allegedly leaving their 2-year-old daughter in their locked, hot minivan while they went fishing. Another couple who were fishing at the same lake as Mayde McGuire and her partner, Mary Tobiassen, found the girl in the vehicle. Police said that McGuire, 54, and Tobiassen, 49, were fishing at Pawnee Lake in Lincoln, Nebraska, on the afternoon of Sunday, August 23, when the other couple walked by their black minivan in the parking lot. The couple noticed that a young girl was "crying and screaming” in the vehicle, according to authorities. Once they realized that the toddler was alone in the locked van, they called 911 for help. The Lancaster County Sheriff's Department addressed the situation during a press conference on Monday, August 24, and confirmed that McGuire is a police captain with the Lincoln Police Department. She was off duty at the time of the incident. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said that the toddler was in the vehicle by herself for at least 28 minutes before the other couple spotted her. The outdoor temperature was 78 degrees Fahrenheit at the time, though Wagner noted that the “interior of a vehicle can get extremely hot” in a short amount of time. McGuire took the girl out of the vehicle before deputies arrived at the scene. Police confirmed that the toddler was uninjured and has since been given back to her parents. McGuire took a preliminary breath test at the scene, and it was determined that she had blood alcohol content of 0.108. An investigation was launched into the matter, and McGuire was placed on leave. Both McGuire and Tobiassen were cited for misdemeanor child abuse, but neither of them was arrested. It is not currently clear whether McGuire or Tobiassen have entered pleas or retained legal counsel following the incident. The Lancaster County Sheriff's Department had no additional updates to share when contacted by Us about the case. Following the incident, the couple who found the toddler in the vehicle spoke to KOLN about the experience. Izabella Glover claimed that the girl had gotten out of her car seat and "crawled over" to the front seat of the minivan. She then started "banging" on the window. Glover added that the girl appeared to be "in distress” as she seemingly searched for her parents. If you or someone you know is experiencing child abuse, call or text Child Help Hotline at 1-800-422-4453.
