Lil Nas X Faces Heartbreak Amid Sobriety Journey After Mother's Passing

Lil Nas X Faces Heartbreak Amid Sobriety Journey After Mother's Passing

Lil Nas X is mourning the death of his mother, Tameka Hill, amid his ongoing recovery and sobriety journey. “RIP TO THE BADDEST EVER! LOVE U FOREVER, MOMMY,” Lil Nas X, 27, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, August 29, alongside throwback photos of Hill. “This one’s gonna hurt.” Further details about Hill’s death were not publicly revealed at the time of publication. Us has reached out to a rep for the “Old Town Road” singer for comment. In addition to Lil Nas X, Hill is survived by her multiple other children. The late matriarch had a complicated relationship with the musician prior to her death. “I never really talk about my mom. She’s an addict, so we don’t have the closest relationship,” Lil Nas X (born Montero Lamar Hill) previously told Variety in 2020. “Even trying to get her better — things didn’t quite work out. But there’s still love.” Lil Nas X is on his own sobriety journey in the wake of public mental health issues, recently reaching a new recovery milestone. “So, tomorrow is my 10,000th day alive and … I made it!” he said in a Monday, August 24, video shared via his Instagram Stories. “A lot of y’all won’t make it but I made it.” Lil Nas X completed an in-patient treatment program in late 2025 for undisclosed “issues.” “Ever since I got out of rehab, everybody’s, like, [so] nice to me. I could be like ‘Hey’ and everybody’s going to be like ‘Oh my God, you’re so brave,’” he said in a Tuesday, August 25, social media update. “I can try to post a thirst trap on my Instagram Story, and then it’s going to be somebody like, ‘Keep fighting King.’” Without disclosing details of his treatment, Lil Nas X returned to social media in June. “I’ve been in rehab for a few months and since then, I’ve been back at home whether it’s in Atlanta with my family or in Los Angeles with myself, friends and what not, and trying to ground myself down to earth and get out of my head,” he said in a June Instagram video. “I have a therapist now and a psychiatrist, which has been really helpful when I got my bipolar disorder diagnosis.” Lil Nas X continued, “I feel like I had known for like the past few years but I didn’t want to admit to it because I didn’t want to have to take medication and have people think different of me... Black, gay, bipolar. I’m living life on, like, extreme hard mode. But on a serious note, I’m doing much better. I’m doing better, I’m feeling better.” He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder last year. Ancient Burial Cave Discovered Amid Jerusalem Police Operation

Ancient Burial Cave Discovered Amid Jerusalem Police Operation

Israeli police recently stumbled on an ancient burial cave in an unlikely place while carrying out an operation in Jerusalem. The discovery was announced by the Israel Police, Israel’s civilian law enforcement agency, on Aug. 24.While carrying out an operation related to what police described as a “violent family conflict” in Silwan, a village in East Jerusalem, officers came upon the cave. The operation followed a deadly clash between feuding families that erupted into gunfire and Molotov cocktail attacks, according to The Jerusalem Post. The violence prompted police to launch an operation aimed at locating those involved in the conflict.“As part of the activity, Jerusalem Border Police officers conducted searches in Silwan and accompanied government authority representatives at a compound where individuals involved in the incident reside,” police said in a translated statement. An ancient burial cave and archaeological findings dating back to the Second Temple period were uncovered by Israel Police during an operational activity in Silwan. Gustavo Gordillo's Family Story Unravels Amidst Controversy

Gustavo Gordillo's Family Story Unravels Amidst Controversy

NYC socialist honcho Gustavo Gordillo’s web of lies is unraveling fast after getting caught faking his address, his job, and apparently now — his own family’s immigration story.Gordillo, 38, recently said his parents were poor immigrants from Peru.“My parents came here, they had nothing,” he told the New York Times in a profile piece earlier this month, before lying in a follow-up article about living in a Crown Heights rental.Gordillo was already caught faking his address and his job. unionGustavo/X“Their first jobs were in fast food and cleaning houses. They built success in this country. And they’re absolutely the exception.”But an unearthed 2021 obituary about his paternal grandfather, Manuel Gordillo — the first of the family to move to the US –paints a considerably different picture of the family’s American roots.“Manuel earned a medical degree from San Marcos University in Lima, Peru, and emigrated to the US in 1958 as a medical resident,” it reads. “He obtained his US citizenship in 1964. He built a long and respected career as a psychiatrist in the Cleveland area and reluctantly retired at 87 years old!” In the US, the elder Gordillo met his wife Ruth, a nurse with whom he had nine children, including the DSA leader’s father, also named Gustavo, according to the obituary — which lists his wife as Elizabeth.Manuel Gordillo was the first of his family to move to the United States, where he established a psychiatric practice. buschcares.com/Public records show only one Gustavo Gordillo married to a woman named Elizabeth in the US. The DSA co-chair’s parents live in Miami, where his father, an engineer, founded a $90 million telecommunications firm.Yet Gordillo has repeatedly described his parents’ beginnings in America as decidedly humble.“My dad, his first job in the United States was working at Wendy’s, my mom’s first job was a house cleaner, and they did make a living for themselves, and they had success,” Gordillo had whined on Fox News in July.Gustavo E. Gordillo, father of DSA’s Gustavo Gordillo, is a successful businessman in Miami. Gustavo Gordillo/LinkedInThe family history is the latest question surrounding the socialist leader, who has made working-class credentials central to his political persona. The embattled DSA leader lives in a $1.5 million Bed-Stuy row house bought by his parents, which is undergoing major renovations worth another $1.4 million that the community board had slammed as “not in alignment” with the historically black neighborhood, and felt like “a beach house in the Hamptons.”He also lied about being a working union electrician, even though he never completed the apprenticeship and was kicked out of the union for failing to pay his dues.DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo lives in a $1.5 million Bed-Stuy row house bought by his parents. unionGustavo/XThe Post’s calls to Gordillo, as well as his parents, were not returned.

Pensacola Beach Residents Demand Change Amid Vacation Rental Chaos

Pensacola Beach Residents Demand Change Amid Vacation Rental Chaos

A popular Florida beach community is weighing tighter rules for its short-term vacation rentals after full-time residents have raised concerns about visitors’ noise, overflowing trash, and parking complications. The proposal under consideration for Pensacola Beach could create a registry for vacation rentals. It could require owners to designate someone who can be reached 24/7 when problems arise, according to reports.Rhonda Dorfman, president of Pensacola Beach Advocates and a full-time resident of the island, told Fox News Digital that one concern is giving law enforcement a clear point of contact when complaints are made at rental properties.“The sheriff’s deputies have a very difficult time finding out who’s in charge here,” Dorfman said, noting that calls can involve complaints about noise and underage drinking. She said many problems are tied to larger vacation homes that can accommodate dozens of guests.“It’s not the three- and four-person families that come out to the beach,” Dorfman said. Instead, she said, some homes “sleep 30 or 40 people — and that is where we’re getting the problems.”A popular Florida beach community is weighing tighter rules for its short-term vacation rentals after full-time residents have raised concerns about visitors. Getty ImagesLarge groups can also put pressure on parking and trash collection, she said.“If you have a home that sleeps 30 or 40 people, even if you put five people in a car, that’s six cars,” Dorfman said.Trash left outside between guest checkouts and scheduled collection days has also become a concern, she indicated.“That trash sits out there in the heat. It stinks. It’s ugly,” she said.Rhonda Dorfman, president of Pensacola Beach Advocates and a full-time resident of the island, said that one concern is giving law enforcement a clear point of contact when complaints are made at rental properties. Getty ImagesNoise can become another issue at night, with Pensacola Beach’s noise ordinance taking effect at 10 p.m., according to Dorfman.Still, she noted that vacationers come to Pensacola Beach to enjoy themselves during the summer.“You work 50 weeks out of the year, you save up for your vacation, and you want to have a good time,” she said.People enjoy a day at the beach on July 4, 2005, in Pensacola, Florida. Getty Images“We know you’re here on vacation, and we want you to have a wonderful time, but you are in a residential community,” Dorfman said. Online discussions reveal the competing perspectives on tourism. Some Reddit commenters have pushed back against criticism of visitors, pointing to the economic activity that tourism brings to the Pensacola area.Other commenters highlighted the appeal of visiting Pensacola Beach despite its crowds.Noise can become another issue at night, with Pensacola Beach’s noise ordinance taking effect at 10 p.m., according to Dorfman. Getty Images“The beaches are beautiful,” another commenter wrote, while advising travelers to “pack your patience” when the area becomes particularly busy.Dorfman emphasized that the residents who support additional rules are not seeking to eliminate vacation rentals.“We don’t want to get rid of short-term rentals,” she said. “We want our low-density residential communities to still feel like a community.”She said officials are looking at regulations used in other Florida communities, including Gulf Breeze, Anna Maria Island, and Panama City, as they consider what could work for Pensacola Beach.

NYC Faces Flood Crisis: The Comptroller's Urgent Warning

NYC Faces Flood Crisis: The Comptroller's Urgent Warning

The soggy Apple. The five boroughs were yet again swimming in floodwaters Thursday evening after being walloped by heavy rain that clinched the city’s wettest summer in five years. Staten Island beared the brunt with wild video showing drivers trapped in their cars when torrential rains — which brought 3.72 inches of precipitation — turned the borough’s streets into rivers. It’s really quite obvious we’re not investing enough to protect the city in the face of this rising threat from extreme weather,” warned City Comptroller Mark Levine. Getty ImagesThe heavy rains were just one of several dozen flood events that soaked the Big Apple this summer, which Comptroller Mark Levine warned will only get worse if the city’s infrastructure isn’t significantly upgraded.“I don’t know how anyone who lives through this summer could still tell themselves we’ve had no change in weather patterns. It’s really quite obvious we’re not investing enough to protect the city in the face of this rising threat from extreme weather,” Levine told The Post.“This is real. And it’s a trend that should worry us all.”Flooding of more than a foot was recorded in New York City nine times this summer, according to the comptroller.Staten Island saw 3.72 inches of rain in some neighborhoods Thursday. @g.o.rgi via StoryfulNeighborhoods were drenched with at least four inches of rain as many as 36 times — and residents have been inundated with what feels like constant flash flood alerts on their phones.More than 16.7 inches has fallen in Central Park since June 1, according to AccuWeather. That’s easily bests the average of 13.7 inches — and marks the wettest summer on record since 2021 when Tropical Storm Henri brought an incredible 24 inches. There’s been a considerable increase this summer in the atmosphere’s moisture being blown in from the Gulf of the Caribbean, explained senior meterologist Matt Benz. While the extra downpours were beneficial in offsetting drought conditions experienced at the beginning of the summer, Benz said the “unusual” amount of rain resulted in unwanted flooding. The Big Apple’s 100-year-old infrastructure is simply not equipped to deal with the “new era of extreme weather,” Levine warned.“Heavy rain events that might’ve been considered once every five years are now happening multiple times in one summer.”Heavy rain overhwhelms the subway pumping systems, according to Levine. Michael NagleThe city needs to invest billions, Levine said, across numerous agencies to mitigate flooding — otherwise low-lying neighborhoods could soon become inhabitable.“Most people feel this in the subways, a system that even on a dry day has to pump out a significant amount of water, but in a heavy rainstorm just gets totally overwhelmed,” Levine explained.Expanding the capacity of pumping stations and hardening subway entrances to mitigate runoff is necessary, as well as greatly diverting water from the city’s century-old sewage overflow system — which can only handle up to 1.75 inches of rain per hour.Levine has also been pushing for expanding the number of trees, bio-swales and rooftop vegetation across the five boroughs to absorb the water before it even seeps into the industrial systems.“We need them now because the rain is here and it’s coming more intensely,” said Levine. “We’ve got to up our game.”

Dolly Parton's Nashville Farewell: The Emotional Gathering at Her Resting Place

Dolly Parton's Nashville Farewell: The Emotional Gathering at Her Resting Place

Dolly Parton’s loved ones gathered at her burial site in Nashville three days after the singer’s death. Parton’s closest relatives, including her nephew and head of security, Bryan Seaver, were spotted arriving at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville on Friday, August 28, as seen in photos obtained by Page Six. Seaver reportedly coordinated with police and security personnel and greeted people when they arrived at the cemetery. It’s unclear whether the funeral took place. The culture-defining musician died on August 25 following a brief and quiet battle with an undisclosed type of cancer. “Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee,” read a statement shared via Parton’s spokesperson. “A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth and kindness that made us all feel like family.” The statement continued, “Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.” Parton’s spokesperson also shared that a “small, private service will be held for immediate family while “fans and friends from around the world are encouraged to pay tribute to Dolly” on social media and her website, per the musician’s request. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The nonprofit mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age 5, no matter their family’s income. After news of Parton’s death made headlines, a slew of tributes from fans, colleagues, friends and more flooded the internet. Miley Cyrus, Parton’s goddaughter, posted an emotional tribute to her beloved Aunt Dolly. “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts,” Cyrus, 33, wrote via Instagram on August 25, alongside a black-and-white throwback photo of Parton. “What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. .” Parton’s longtime friend Reba McEntire also shared a thoughtful message in the wake of the country music legend’s death. “Well, I just got the news that my buddy Dolly passed onto the higher and greater side. Dolly, thank you for all the wonderful things you did for us here on earth. Your love, your music and you gave so much with your huge huge heart. There will never ever be another you,” McEntire, 71, wrote via Instagram at the time. “We will remember and cherish every memory and every note you ever played and sang. Thank you, Lord, for Dolly. She’s gonna have a blast in heaven singing all her favorite songs with all her family and friends who have gone on before her. I’ll never forget the first time I met you and I’ll never forget our last conversation. I hold it with love in my heart. I will always love you, Reba.”

Why ER Doctors Warn Against Using Claw Clips in Your Hair

Why ER Doctors Warn Against Using Claw Clips in Your Hair

We need some claw and order. In a viral discussion on Threads, hundreds of ER doctors and nurses weighed in on the dangerous everyday things they’d never do themselves. Some were obvious: They’d never ride a motorcycle, especially without a helmet. They’d never let their kids jump on a trampoline without protective netting. They’d never speed through the city streets on an e-scooter.But also? They’d never wear a claw clip in their hair.Claw clips have been a messy-bun staple since the 1980s, but in the recent frenzy for anything “vintage” or “Y2K,” they’ve become a staple for Gen Z.20-something celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner have sported the toothy accessory, which retails for as little as $4 at Walmart… or as much as $750 at Prada. Hailey Bieber wearing a baby pink claw clip. The accessory is popular with Gen Z. GC ImagesBut according to health experts, the cute, trendy accessory is not worth the risk they impose.“Claw clips have the potential to cause injury during road traffic accidents. If our head is forcefully propelled back into the headrest, metal claw clips can cause head, neck and scalp injuries,” Dr. Dorieann O’Leary explained in the caption of an Instagram video.“They can become lodged in the scalp, cause lacerations and need surgical removal,” she warned.A retired ICU nurse agreed, advising online readers that during a car collision, “they get embedded in your skull.”“Death investigator here,” wrote another. “I will never wear claw clips while driving.” In 2023, a young British woman was seriously injured when her hair clip embedded into her skull during a car crash. Facebook/A cemetery worker added, “My daughter is eight and really likes claw clips. I won’t let her wear them in the car.”In 2023, a British college student named Jeena Panesar, then 19, suffered serious injuries to her skull, face and eye sockets when her car flipped over on a rural road, causing her hair clip to dig into her head. Last year in Australia, a 22-year-old fashion influencer named Ella Carter suffered a similar fate, enduring a severe concussion because of her plastic claw clip. If it was metal, she told her followers, the doctors thought it could have killed her. (But she was apparently well enough to make a TikTok while in the ambulance.)But though the clips are convenient and super-cute, it’s tough to make a life-threatening head injury seem chic.

Manifest Fans Rejoice: New Spinoff 'Arrivals' Set to Land on Netflix

Manifest Fans Rejoice: New Spinoff 'Arrivals' Set to Land on Netflix

The world of Manifest is expanding nearly four years after the series’ shocking cancellation. Netflix announced on Friday, August 28 — a.k.a. 8/28 day — that the streamer is currently developing Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery with a new cast of characters and story lines. “When the idea for Manifest first crash-landed in my head, I never imagined where it would lead,” showrunner Jeff Rake said in a statement. “What started as a wild concept became something much bigger, a story that connected with millions of people around the globe. And thanks to Netflix, we were able to finish the journey and give those fans the ending they deserved.” He continued, “But, the world of Manifest has more stories to tell. To now bring fans a brand-new mystery from that world is quite simply beyond my wildest dreams.” Rake, 60, created Manifest, which ran for four seasons from 2018 to 2023 and starred Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh. On the show, Dallas, 47, and Roxburgh, 33, played siblings who were aboard a commercial flight, No. 828, home to New York City that mystically didn’t land for five years. Upon their return, the passengers discovered they had interconnected spiritual “callings.” Manifest aired its first three seasons on NBC, which ultimately canceled the program amid a major plot cliffhanger. Netflix subsequently swooped in, renewing the drama for a fourth and final season. While all of the Manifest story arcs wrapped up by the finale, Arrivals will feature a new crop of passengers. “When a mysterious plane crash-lands in Denver, the passengers emerge with no memory of who they are, where they came from or why they’re here,” a logline reads. “A young social worker and a novice Homeland Security agent team up with the new arrivals in an attempt to stop a humanity-ending catastrophe, discovering along the way that they are all part of the very puzzle they’re trying to solve.” Rake cocreated Arrivals with Manifest producer Margaret Easley and Laura Putney. “Laura Putney and Margaret Easley have been my trusted colleagues for over a decade. Their contribution to the Manifest mothership cannot be overstated,” Rake continued in his statement. “It was a no-brainer to make them my partners on this spinoff. Together, we’ve set out to create something bold, surprising, deeply human and full of the kind of big ideas that spark conversations long after the credits roll. We can’t wait for a whole new audience — and longtime Manifest fans — to discover Arrivals.” Further details about Arrivals, including the cast and premiere date, have yet to be announced.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster's Romance Heats Up with Engagement Talks

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster's Romance Heats Up with Engagement Talks

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are going strong and thinking seriously about their future after a relaxing summer in North Carolina. “They have talked about getting engaged in the future,” a source exclusively tells Us, adding that Jackman, 57, has “told his friends he thinks she is The One. They are that close.” The pair, who went public with their romance in early 2025, traded their usual New York City hustle and bustle for a quieter lifestyle in the Tar Heel State over the past few months, which the insider says helped them enjoy more “normal” surroundings. “It was a year so packed with films and events and they were exhausted and wanted to have weeks not scheduled around work, so they decided to get away,” the source shares. “They wanted to get back to some normalcy in their lives. And that is the most normal place they could go.” The Bunheads alum has a “circle of friends” in North Carolina, per the insider, who notes that Foster, 51, and Jackman’s summer has been “really low-key.” The couple — who grew close after being cast in 2022’s Broadway revival of The Music Man — have been “writing and reading scripts, spending time outdoors and dinners with friends. And doing things that are not stressful,” the source adds. While Jackman and Foster did get away from the spotlight the past few months, the insider tells Us that “publicly they are so much more comfortable being seen together.” When it comes to how the pair function in the Big Apple — where they both call home — the source says it’s just as seamless. “They function as if they’re living together in New York even though they still have separate places,” the insider continues. “They are basically living together.” The Wolverine star might not officially share the same address as Foster, but they have taken the next steps when it comes to familial relationships. “They have already blended their lives,” the source tells Us of the couple. “His children have met her daughter.” Jackman shares adult children Oscar, 26, and Ava, 21, with ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness, whom he split from in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. One year after calling it quits, multiple sources told Us that Jackman began dating Foster while still married to Furness, 70. Furness addressed the rumored relationship overlap in May 2025 when she filed for divorce, saying she was navigating the “traumatic journey of betrayal.” Jackman and Furness are on much better terms now after finalizing their divorce in June 2025. “It’s civil behind the scenes and everyone is finally more accepting of where things are at,” the insider says of The Greatest Showman actor and his ex-wife. “It was a process.” The insider notes that Jackman and Furness “spent so much time together and were so much a part of each other's lives that initially there were bound to be strong, heavy emotions.” Despite how it ended, the source says, “At the end of the day he will always love Deborra.” Foster, for her part, filed for divorce from screenwriter Ted Griffin in November 2024 after nearly 10 years of marriage. The pair share 9-year-old daughter Emily. Foster and Jackman confirmed their romantic relationship in January 2025 while stepping out in Los Angeles for a date night. It wasn’t until that October that the pair made their red carpet debut in support of Song Sung Blue’s world premiere. One month later, Jackman went Instagram official with Foster, posting photos of her performing at Café Carlyle in New York. Us has reached out to Foster and Jackman’s reps for comment.

Leah Stewart's Unthinkable Choice During Shark Attack Stuns the World

A mom and teacher who lost her arm in an Australian shark attack recalled the moment she had to choose “which limb am I willing to lose” after coming face-to-face with the “monster.”Leah Stewart, 34, was attacked around 100 feet from the shore off Sydney’s iconic Coogee Beach on June 13 by what was suspected to be a great white shark. The Coogee local, an accomplished swimmer, described in haunting detail the moment she realized she had to make an agonizing decision to save her own life.Emergency personnel attend the scene of a shark attack at Coogee Beach in Sydney, Australia. REUTERS“It got to the point where it was about 30 centimeters from my face and it sort of started opening its mouth,” Stewart, a mom to 1-year-old August, told Australia’s 60 Minutes in an interview airing this Sunday, recalling the terrifying ordeal.“I’m like, I’ve got to try and punch it. I’ve got to try and push it away or else it’s going to bite my head off. “And in that moment I thought, well, which limb am I willing to lose? I’m right-handed. So I decided, let’s do a left hook.” Stewart, who has a young daughter named August, had to have her left arm amputated — but she counted her blessings that she came out the other side alive.Stewart is comforted by her husband as she describes her ordeal. NineShe also vividly described the shark’s appearance as it prepared to rip into her flesh.“Its face was horrific,” she said. “I’m never going to forget its face. It was a monster.”Stewart was pulled from the water by an off-duty lifeguard and was rushed to the hospital having “sustained severe and life-threatening injuries with multiple bites across her arms and legs,” her brother Joshua said in a fundraiser he created to support her young family. “I was holding onto my leg and I just thought of August. And I thought… she’s not going to have a mom,” Stewart said through tears. In the immediate aftermath, the “passionate teacher” was put on life support. Thankfully, her condition gradually improved. Sydney shark attack victim Leah Stewart recalls her ordeal. NineOn June 23, Joshua shared a heartwarming update when his sister had been temporarily brought out of her induced coma.“This allowed Leah to share her first words ‘I love you’ with her mum and partner Fernando,” he said, recalling how her family had been by her bedside in ICU.“Her first thoughts were with her daughter August and wanted to check she was OK. This is a lot faster than anyone expected, and for us this feels like a miracle.”Sydney shark attack victim Leah Stewart lost her arm in the attack. NineStewart has since closed her fundraiser after raising $558,925 AUD – around $400,000. She said she has been left “constantly overwhelmed” by the generosity of strangers.“After what has been an incredibly difficult few months, I’m so happy that I’ve progressed enough to build some independence, and I can finally see some light after all of this,” she said in a post on Sunday.“Once again, I don’t feel like I can say thank you enough. I want you to know that I feel like I’ve been given a second chance at life, and I’m not going to waste it.”

Ezra Sosa Speaks Out Amid Rylee Arnold's Dance Showdown Drama

Ezra Sosa Speaks Out Amid Rylee Arnold's Dance Showdown Drama

Ezra Sosa has entered the chat amid his Dancing With the Stars costar Rylee Arnold’s ongoing drama over her Next Pro cameo. Rylee, 21, appeared on the Monday, August 24, episode, in which she teamed up with contestant AJ Pritchard for a routine in the semifinals. During the episode, Rylee openly claimed to the judges that AJ, 31, was too critical during rehearsals. In response, AJ’s fiancée, Zara Zoffany, defended the British dancer via social media. “[Rylee] — @aj11ace wouldn’t have had to critique you in the first place if everything had been right,” Zara, 32,  claimed via Instagram comment. “Dancing with Bailey [McKnight] last week showed how he danced with an amateur & their dance was amazing. This week was suppose [sic] to be dancing with a pro … very different dynamics & what people didn’t see in rehearsals was that you injured him when you hit him in the head, leaving with a slight concussion and needing to see a [doctor].” Neither Rylee nor AJ have publicly addressed the accusations, though Zara further alleged that the Strictly Come Dancing alum’s criticism “has always been constructive.” “He wouldn’t have needed to give it if something hadn’t been wrong,” Zara claimed. “I hope you were able to take something positive and useful from his teaching and feedback." Ezra, 25, subsequently replied to Zara in defense of Rylee. “I usually stay out of stuff like this, but this genuinely made me sick to my stomach,” Ezra replied in the comments section. “Rylee is my best friend, I love her and I will speak up for her. Rylee is more than qualified to be a pro, and one dance with a completely different partnership does not erase the years of training, talent and work that earned her that title.” He continued, “Everyone’s perspective and experience in this dance world will be different. AJ is allowed to give feedback and Rylee is allowed to be honest  about how that feedback felt to her. Both can exist. Also, this is a dance competition. Everyone gets critiqued.” Ezra further gushed that Rylee is “one of the most honest and trustworthy” individuals he knows. “She reads people and their energy incredibly well, and she is a fanatic pro and [an] INCREDIBLE DANCER,” he stated. “Watching a woman go out of her way to publicly question another woman’s qualifications and tear her down like this is so sad to see." AJ is among the finalists to become the next DWTS pro for the upcoming season 35 alongside Selena Hamilton and Adele Zaikman. The Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro finale airs on ABC Monday, August 31 at 8 p.m. ET.
