Ohio Father Takes Drastic Action Using TikTok to Confront Alleged Rapist

A father in Ohio allegedly used his 11-year-old daughter’s TikTok account to lure her alleged rapist to their home, where he ultimately shot him and they were both taken into custody. Diego Montoya Gonzalez was indicted on five counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, two counts of rape and one count of obstructing official business for allegedly raping the victim. Montoya Gonzalez, 20, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Franklin County Common Pleas Court, according to WBNS. Prosecutors said authorities learned of the case on July 15 when the girl’s mother contacted police after discovering a video on her daughter’s phone that seemed to indicate sexual conduct, per the outlet. The girl’s father, Malik Chandler, then allegedly lured Montoya Gonzalez to their home the following day by pretending to be his daughter on her TikTok account. Chandler, 31, claimed he planned to beat up Montoya Gonzalez when he arrived at the home and then notify police about his whereabouts, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the outlet. Chandler told authorities that he believed he saw Montoya Gonzalez reaching for a weapon when he was at their home, which prompted him to shoot him. Montoya Gonzalez was allegedly shot two times in the ordeal, according to the report. Following the altercation, a neighbor spoke to WSYX and said she couldn’t believe what happened. “I can see why he went after him,” the neighbor said. “I’m not saying it’s right, but that at least makes some sense. It wasn’t a senseless thing.” After he entered his plea, Montoya Gonzalez was given a $70,000 bond. It is not currently clear whether he has been released or if he has retained legal counsel following his arrest. If Montoya Gonzalez is released from jail, he will be ordered to stay away from the victim’s family and he is not allowed to access the internet for any reason except for work. Chandler was also arrested for shooting Montoya Gonzalez and charged with felony assault. His bond was set at $100,000, and he has since been released. It’s not currently clear whether Chandler has retained legal counsel or entered a plea in regard to his charge. The investigation into the case remains ongoing. The Grove City Police Department did not immediately respond to Us’ request for comment regarding the case. Dr. Anthony Fauci’s attorney had some harsh words for Aaron Rodgers after the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback went on a lengthy rant against Fauci during an appearance on ESPN earlier this week. “Aaron Rodgers doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He should stick to football,” attorney David Schertler said in a statement to The Athletic, published Tuesday, August 4. Schertler’s statement came after Rodgers, 42, appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday, August 3, where he called Fauci, 85, a “coward” for repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment during a senate hearing last week. “I’m going to plead the fifth,” Rodgers said. “Like that absolute coward, Tony Fauci. Absolute coward.” Rodgers continued, “Are you kidding me? You got a pardon and you pleaded over 100 times at the White House? What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science. I thought, ‘I am science,’ and you get up there and you can’t answer a question? What are we doing?” Fauci, for his part, explained why he pleaded the Fifth more than 100 times during his opening statement before the July 29 hearing began. “Given Senator [Rand] Paul’s obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution, his repeated slanderous comments about me, and recently his publicly releasing my unredacted personal diary aimed at embarrassing and intimidating me, the only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason he is calling me before this Committee is to get me to say something, anything that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up in his words, ‘Behind bars,'” Fauci said. Fauci previously served as Chief Medical Advisor to President Donald Trump during the COVID-19 pandemic, becoming the face of the country’s response and the health and safety mandates that followed. Rodgers, who on Monday baselessly asserted that the virus was created in a Chinese lab, has long been critical of those mandates, even refusing the safe and effective vaccine and not complying with the NFL’s COVID protocols. With training camp well underway ahead of the 2026 season, Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy was, naturally, asked about Rodgers’ comments. “My job is to keep it about football,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “These are grown men. They all have different opinions. There’s no question about that. But at the end of the day, my job is to keep it about football, keep the focus on winning. That’s why we’re here. We have a good locker room. We have a player council that’s in place. We had our second meeting yesterday. We’re in a good spot.” Steelers spokesperson Burt Lauten added in a statement, “Discussions around culture and politics can bring differing perspectives, and our players are entitled to their own personal views.With respect to that, I am certain there are a variety of opinions on many topics within our locker room.”

Southeastern Ohio Regional JailStolly also claimed in the motion that Siders’ mental state “would also have affected her ability to understand the wrongfulness of her conduct at the time of the alleged offenses.”If the motion is approved, Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail — where Siders is being held — will have 30 days to get a psychiatrist to perform an evaluation. Siders, her husband Gary Siders Jr., 37, and her mother-in-law Christina Siders, 67, and father-in-law Gary Siders, 73, were arrested in June after authorities targeted their home in Vinton County, Ohio, and found the children who “looked like almost feral animals,” according to police.The children, ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years, were found living in squalor inside a cramped 12-by-12 room in a scene Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson described as “pure evil.”Authorities allegedly found children, ages 1 to 18, living in squalor and isolation inside a cramped 12-by-12 room at the home on June 30, 2026. The heartbroken father of four children allegedly murdered by their grandma and mom in an upstate New York apartment ripped the two killers, declaring that the pair deserve a “special place in hell.” Sarah Myers, 44, and her 64-year-old mother Amy Steadman “conspired in carrying out the murders of the four children [on June 10] before taking their own lives,” Mechanicville police chief William Rabbitt said Tuesday, seemingly confirming Brady Harmon’s suspicions.“I knew my kids were murdered,” he told News10 on Tuesday, reacting to the harrowing development. “And then I know those two are the ones that did it.”Brady Harmon sitting on a sofa with his children.
