Peta Murgatroyd's Heartfelt Confession About Missing Jenna and Val

Peta Murgatroyd really misses the small things that came with having Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy as their Los Angeles neighbors. “I think the little stop-ins when they would just knock on the door, and we didn't know they were coming. It was just a really nice surprise all the time,” Murgatroyd, 40, exclusively told Us while announcing a new version of Burn the Floor Presents Maks and Peta Live! “Just to sit in the kitchen and chat and just hang out and do sauna together and have Rome come over. Proximity.” Murgatroyd and her husband, Maks Chmerkovsky, announced their move from Los Angeles to Florida earlier this summer. Johnson, 32, Val, 40, and their 3-year-old son, Rome, remain in Los Angeles, where they’re currently filming Dancing With the Stars season 35. “I miss Rome. I miss Romashka. I love the kid,” Maks, 46, told Us. “I think people don't realize how much time Dancing With the Stars takes away, and it's a lot of fun. It's an incredible opportunity to look back on, but it does take 24/7. And so what ends up happening is if we don't live a block and a half away, we may not see each other for seven months.” In August, Johnson told Us she was “so happy” to see Maks and Murgatroyd thriving in Florida. At the same time, the DWTS pro couldn’t help but feel bummed to have some of her extended family so far away. “Are we heartbroken? Yes, because we literally lived in the same neighborhood for two years, and you forget how much you take advantage of that until they’re gone, and then you’re like, ‘What the heck were we doing?’” Johnson explained. “It just makes sense for their family, and it just fits them.” While Johnson admitted she and Val are “very content” in Los Angeles, both Murgatroyd and Maks would welcome the pair to the Sunshine State with open arms. “I don't know if they're Florida people, though. I mean, I don't know,” Murgatroyd said. “We would love them to be here.” Maks added, “Val and Jenna are at the absolute peak at the moment of their professional dance careers, and they need to stay focused. They got two incredible, if not the best, partners on the season. It'll be a lot of fun to see them duke it out in the finale if that is going to happen. … When the time comes, they'll make a decision.” As Johnson and Val compete in the ballroom with their respective partners, Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Dewan, Murgatroyd and Maks are ready to star in a brand-new dancing show titled Burn the Floor Presents Maks and Peta Live! The production will bring together a new cast of ballroom and Latin dancers with thrilling choreography showcasing artistry and athleticism like never before. The North American tour begins in March 2027 and will continue for two months, concluding in May. You were my best friend & my family. We met in our first acting class, I was 19 never had an acting job and you were 21 a student at USC doing a recurring role on who’s the boss. And here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don’t know it without you.” She continued, “The friendship, love, support, respect & loyalty we had was unconditional and rare. You lit up every room you walked into. You are larger than life & Everyone was drawn to you. So talented & most underrated actor. And most humble. Everything you did was infectious. Your laugh, your kindness, your wit, your strength, your loyalty, your passion, and your zest for life. She first joked about her height, stating that she's "short but I'm not this short," referencing the height of the microphone. "Don't make me bow down, I've been doing that for too long," she quipped to whoops from the crowd while accepting the win in Best Dance for Confessions II – The Film. She then joked: "First of all, I just want to get this thing out of my a**," pretending to remove a laser from her behind. The comment appeared to be a reference to her short film for Confessions II, where the dancers seemingly shot out lasers from their butts, like the performance. The crowd let out some laughs, as Madonna added: "It's been in here all night, anyway now I can party in the park." It was one of seven wins for Madonna, which included three during the telecast: Best Collaboration (for 'Bring Your Love' with Sabrina Carpenter), Best Dance, and Artist of the Year. AEW Star Pac's Sudden Passing Leaves Fans in Shock

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Benjamin Satterley, better known to fans as Pac, has died at the age of 40. AEW announced the British wrestler’s death via its official website on Sunday, September 27. “All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac,” the organization said in a statement. “A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.” “Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history,” the statement continued. The company concluded, “Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.” No cause of death was provided. Satterley’s tragic death comes just one day after he competed for the AEW National Championship in the opening match of AEW’s All Out event in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Satterley lost to reigning champion Andrade El Idolo at the Now Arena on Saturday, September 26, at All Out, which was broadcast live on pay-per-view globally. In AEW, Pac held one-third of the AEW Trios Championship and was the inaugural AEW International Champion. He was part of the popular faction the Death Riders, alongside former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia and Marina Shafir. Satterley previously competed as the high-flying “Neville” in WWE from 2012 to 2018. He is a former WWE NXT Champion and Cruiserweight Champion. Stars from across WWE and AEW mourned Satterley’s death in social media tributes late Sunday and early Monday, September 28. WWE star Becky Lynch wrote via X, “One of the best in every way possible. ��” Current AEW World Champion Will Ospreay shared, “The greatest export from our country. Also the greatest human being. Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others. Diet and mental health are linked, and one popular food early in life can be linked to the development of anxiety. muse studio – stock.adobe.comDecades of research have linked sugar to several adverse health effects in children: metabolic diseases, behavioral disorders and hyperactivity, tooth decay and childhood obesity.And now, one more can be added to the list: anxiety.Based on previous work linking sugary foods and mental health issues, researchers from the University of Surrey wanted to explore how dietary behavior influenced a person’s mental health into adulthood.“We were specifically interested in understanding if having sugar in early life could contribute to incidences of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety later in life,” lead study author Dr Hana Navratilova said in a press release.Analyzing medical data of over 45,000 UK Biobank participants, they found that exposure to sugar in the first 1,000 days of a child’s life increases the risk of developing anxiety in adulthood.They also found that sugar intake in early life significantly impacted brain development in 11 out of the 80 regions of the brain.Participants were divided into groups of those who experienced sugar rationing in utero, as well as up to six, 12, 18 and 24 months of age, and those who underwent rationing in utero only. In January, two 14-year-old boys went missing whilst out playing in a sandpit in Florida. The families of Derek Hubbard and George Watts have feared that they had fallen to their deaths in a hole. On Sunday, January 11, officials received a “frantic” call for help after the teenage best friends couldn’t be located at the sandpit close to Sportsman’s Park in Inverness, according to responding officers’ reports shared by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office . Within 20 minutes of digging in the sand pit, the fire service pulled George from the cave-in, and authorities later declared that the friends had dug a hole approximately four to five feet deep before it collapsed on them both and ultimately killed them. It is believed they were trapped under the sand for between 30 and 60 minutes. One officer noted that George was “alive and had a pulse, however was not conscious or breathing on his own.” Tragically, when Derek was pulled out moments later, he was unresponsive and had no pulse. Credit: YouTube / EWU Bodycam Footage showing their final moments is a hard watch However, one of the most heartbreaking things to come out of the tragic accident is the bodycam footage of the boys’ parents' reactions to seeing their children being pulled from the sand. The devastated parents can be seen in hysterics as they realise the severity of the situation. Tear-jerking footage of the friend's final moments was also recovered from a phone belonging to one of the boys, showing them digging the hole and joking around with each other. A firefighter later explained that the boys appeared to have dug two connected tunnels and positioned themselves inside them while they were constructing them. Sadly, the tunnels then collapsed, trapping them beneath the sand and making escape impossible . When Lanning was asked about USC appearing to celebrate the hit on the sideline, he denied seeing any of the players cheering in the wake of the injury. "I didn't see any of that, and if that's the way somebody else was operating, that's really disappointing," Lanning said, per CBS Sports. "In that moment, for me, I challenge myself to focus on the moment and things I can control. We try to have a singular focus. Our guys respect the game. I don't think that's necessarily an indictment on coach Riley, because I can't speak to what I didn't see.” Moore was replaced on the field by backup quarterback and Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola, who later reflected on the moment.
