Madonna couldn't stay out of the headlines following the Video Music Awards 2026, which took place on Sunday evening (September 27). The 68-year-old music legend left fans worried following her opening performance alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX, where she was seemingly thrown onto a platform . While the trio performed some tunes from Madonna's latest album, Confessions II, fans worried about her well-being.

But that wasn't all the artist was involved in at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, last night. While accepting an award, the 'Like a Virgin' artist made a joke that referenced her performance, which featured lights beaming out of her dancers' private areas. Social media users were left shocked after noticing that lasers were coming out of their butts, while Madonna had a spotlight coming out of her nether regions.
