Mika Abdalla and Josh Heuston Spark Romance Rumors at Paris Fashion Week
Off Campus costars Mika Abdalla and Josh Heuston are trading the rink for the runway amid their blossoming romance. Abdalla, 26, and Heuston, 29, made their public debut as a couple at Valentino’s Paris Fashion Week presentation on Sunday, October 4,where the duo sweetly held hands while arriving at the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève. Abdalla stunned in a flowy, lime frock which she paired with a lilac flower on her shoulder, while Heuston looked dapper in a gray knit sweater and charcoal-color trousers. The couple, attending the show on behalf of Valentino Beauty, each wore the brand’s new Born in Roma Rendez Vous Ruby fragrance. Abdalla and Heuston starred as Allie Hayes and Justin Kohl, respectively, on the first season of Prime Video’s Off Campus and soon sparked a romance off-camera. (Allie’s love interest is Dean Di Laurentis, while Justin is the crush of Allie’s BFF Hannah Wells before she ends up with Garrett Graham.)
Us exclusively confirmed in June that Abdalla started dating Heuston after she ended her engagement with her now-ex fiancé, Jake Short. Abdalla and Short, 29, were together from 2021 until their split this summer. “Because of the immense curiosity about Mika’s personal life and in light of numerous erroneous reports, I can clarify that Mika and Jake are no longer in a relationship,” Abdalla’s rep told Us in a June statement. “They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.” Abdalla has not further addressed her breakup or newfound romance with Heuston as she remains focused on production of Off Campus season 2. She is set to take the lead in the next batch of episodes alongside Stephen Kalyn as Dean. “I’m just really looking forward to digging deeper into who Allie and Dean are,” Abdalla told Us exclusively in May of her character’s story line. “They both, kind of, have these fronts, these personas that are hard to kind of crack through. They are kind of stereotypes of themselves. But in the books, as we know, there’s so much beneath the surface of Dean, and there’s so much beneath the surface of Allie.”
She continued at the time, “When it is time for our season, I’m excited to dig emotionally into that a little bit more, because, you know, we see Allie and Dean as their exteriors a lot in season 1. While that is fun, and they are super fun characters to play, I think as actors, selfishly, both of us are really excited to, kind of, like, get psychological.” Heuston, for his part, will not return for season 2 — but he hasn’t ruled out coming back to Off Campus in the future. “That’s above my pay grade, but I just hope Justin finds love and continues to be happy while writing music,” he told Us in a separate May interview. “Justin is following his heart. He’s a little lover boy at heart. I think things went the way that they went, but I think he’ll just continue to do that. He’ll probably go write some nice music about how heartbroken he is and then come back and try to find his love.”
