Jaxson Dart's Sudden Season-Ending Injury Shocks Giants Fans

The next time Giants fans will see Jaxson Dart suiting up for their team will be heading into the 2027 season.

The 23-year old quarterback is expected to undergo surgery to repair damage in his left knee, forcing his 2026 season to come to a shockingly premature end after only two games, The Post confirmed.

The worst fears surfaced after imaging on Tuesday, the day after Dart went down on the seventh offensive snap in a 28-6 loss to the Rams on “Monday Night Football” when he was hit high-low by two Rams defenders. Initial X-rays revealed an injury to Dart’s medial collateral ligament. That his anterior cruciate ligament was intact gave the Giants reason to believe Dart had avoided the most serious knee injury and that a return in the standard timeframe for a sprained MCL — 3-5 weeks — was possible.
