Long Island Woman's Terrifying Birthday: Trapped in Backyard Cesspool

A Long Island woman fell into an overflow cesspool in her backyard Thursday — leaving her screaming for help and fearing for her life on her birthday.

Danielle Tammone, now 47, plunged eight feet at her Bohemia home as her golden retriever Daisy watched in terror while she shrieked for help.

“It happened so quickly — my feet just sunk a little bit, but it was like seconds. I didn’t even have time,” Tammone told 1010 WINS.
