The Sweet Moment Taylor Swift Became 'Aunt Tay Tay' to Travis Kelce's Nieces

Travis Kelce is offering new insight into his wife Taylor Swift’s dynamic with his four young nieces. “We had to break that habit with your daughters,” Travis, 36, told brother Jason Kelce on the Wednesday, September 16, episode of their “New Heights” podcast, after the pair joked that it felt wrong to call upcoming podcast guest Tom Cruise by anything other than his full name. “When they got to meet Aunt Tay Tay, they were calling her ‘Taylor Swift.’” Travis began dating Swift, 36, in 2023, eventually introducing his nieces to the pop star. (Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, have four daughters: Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 17 months.) Jason, 38, further explained that whenever his kids addressed Swift or asked her questions, they would say both her first and last name.

“[It was] adorable,” Travis quipped, noting that Jason’s kids have since gotten more casual with the Grammy winner like he has with Cruise, 64. “It was definitely ‘Tom Cruise’ the first two times, but then coming to the game and us sitting down right here [on the podcast], that’s my guy, Tom.” Before Travis and Jason interviewed Cruise — the conversation drops Friday, September 18 — the Mission Impossible star sat beside Swift to watch Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs in their home opener on Monday, September 14. (Cruise previously attended Swift’s Eras Tour in London and was present when she married Travis at Madison Square Garden in July.) “Being in the suite with him was great,” Jason added of the game day meetup. Swift has also bonded with her nieces over the Chiefs. Jason and Kylie, 33, brought their kids to a December 2025 game, which they watched  from a private box with the “Fate of Ophelia” singer. The family also finds time to connect outside of the gridiron.

“Right now, we’re very deep in a sourdough obsession,” Swift said of her baking passions during an August 2025 episode of Travis’ podcast. “I’ve been workshopping [one] for the girls because they love everything rainbow: Funfetti sourdough. They love sprinkles. We put sprinkles in everything when we hang out.” Swift further bonded with Travis’ nieces — who were flower girls in the couple’s wedding this summer — over crafting and cats. “The cats are so good with kids,” she gushed on “New Heights” last year. “They’re just like, ‘Meredith is here!’ I’m like, ‘And you know what? She didn’t bite you at all, did she? And if she did bite you, she wouldn’t be poisonous.’ They’re like, ‘That’s not what our dad said.’” Jason famously told his kids that cats were poisonous in an attempt to stop their pleas for a pet feline. Swift, for her part, has three cats of her own — in addition a Samoyed pup named Wendy with Travis.
