Hayden Panettiere's Final Call: The Heartbreaking Ultimatum from Her Mother

Lesley Vogel claimed she told her late daughter, Hayden Panettiere, that they couldn’t have a relationship if she stayed with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, before her tragic death.

Vogel explained on “Good Morning America” Monday that she gave the “Heroes” alum the ultimatum at the advice of her therapist during the mother-daughter duo’s final phone call.

“I needed it. I needed to have that pocket of time,” Vogel said of removing Panettiere from her life. “Of course, I thought it was gonna be a pocket of time.
