See more of our coverage in your search results. The mother of the 5-year-old girl who was found battered and lifeless inside her Queens home Wednesday made a bone-chilling confession to a 911 operator — coldly telling them “I killed my daughter,” law enforcement sources said. The woman made the disturbing admission to a dispatcher before police were summoned to the home on 110th Street near 95th Avenue in South Richmond Hill just before 7 p.m., according to the sources. When police arrived, the girl’s mother – who was waiting at the front door, according to a neighbor – told them, “She’s upstairs not breathing,” the sources said. Robert Mecea for NY PostOnce upstairs, officers found the girl unconscious and unresponsive, lying face-up with blood coming out of her nose and a weak pulse, according to the sources. She was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead, police said. Her official cause of death will be determined by the city’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Her mother – who appeared stoic and didn’t shed a tear – was carted away in handcuffs, according to the neighbor who identified himself as Carlos.“She was not crying, it was like nothing happened,” he recalled. “It’s too much emotions together. I feel sad for the child.”Carlos remembered the girl as a very happy child, always bubbling with energy and wanting to give him and everyone she knew a hug.Erika Santiago, 43, a licensed practical nurse who lives across the street, said she heard “a lot of yelling” Wednesday night before the emergency response.“I heard about this when I woke up this morning at 6 o’clock and it’s absolutely devastating, devastating,” said Santiago, who has two daughters of her own, 10 and 12. “And it’s right across the street and they brought her to the hospital I work at. It’s so close to home.”

Maks Chmerkovskiy Questions DWTS Judge Over Controversial Lift Criticism New

Maks Chmerkovskiy Questions DWTS Judge Over Controversial Lift Criticism

Maks Chmerkovskiy doesn’t understand Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s criticism of his sister-in-law, Jenna Johnson, amid their tension-filled lift back-and-forth. “She goes and starts reading off the rulebook, but then that same rulebook that’s applicable in ballroom with lifts is only applicable to a couple dancing,” Chmerkovskiy, 46, said on the Thursday, October 15, episode of the “Viall Files” podcast. “You’re not talking about extra background dancers running out.” Johnson, 32, and celebrity partner Harry Shum Jr. performed a high-energy samba on Tuesday, September 13’s Super Bowl Night, for which Inaba, 58, docked points over an illegal lift. (While dancers aren’t allowed to take both feet off the ground in a traditional samba, two troupe dancers helped Shum, 44, do a backflip mid-routine.) “There’s no ‘three other people’ in the rulebook. The point is: Carrie Ann, get some consistency,” Chmerkovskiy quipped. “A lift is a lift if a partner lifted his partner. … If you’re going to have [the] troupe run out and throw someone in the air, that’s not a lift. That’s Dancing With the Stars creative direction, and you should complain to the creative director.” Chmerkovskiy’s wife, Peta Murgatroyd, also agreed with her spouse. (Maks’ brother, Val Chmerkovskiy has been married to Johnson since 2019.) “When I heard what she said about no one could lift the person, I agreed with Jenna in the fact, like, ‘Oh, so even if it’s not me, he can’t be lifted either,’” Murgatroyd, 40, said on Thursday’s episode. “I think maybe that would have been confusing for me too.” After Inaba’s critique, Johnson succinctly asked whether the move was in fact a lift. Maks, for his part, felt his sister-in-law’s comment was one of a “consummate professional.” Even so, Maks agreed with Inaba about the lack of samba skills displayed in the routine. “[She felt the] samba content wasn’t enough, and I agree,” he stated. “They gave too much of a nod to [Usher’s type] of movement and the movement quality, which is Harry’s card. … But samba didn’t play out, and I think that’s where Carrie Ann should have ended. To give it a lift situation, come on? Then, give him a 7, take the points [or] something. Why did you bring this up if you’re not going to do anything about it? That’s my problem.” Johnson has since spoken with Inaba, clarifying that she respects the judges’ feedback. “I hear Carrie Ann. She’s a judge for a reason,” Johnson told Extra after Tuesday’s episode. “She’s gonna do her job, I’m gonna do mine. I’m gonna take the feedback.” Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

UCSB Sorority Faces Backlash Over Alleged Discrimination Scandal New

UCSB Sorority Faces Backlash Over Alleged Discrimination Scandal

A sorority scandal has erupted at one of America’s most notorious party schools after members accused an outside recruitment adviser of sidelining women of color, sparking a furious showdown inside their California chapter house. Sisters of the Alpha Phi sorority at the University of California, Santa Barbara, say they were left stunned when Black women and other women of color were allegedly excluded from recruitment activities while prospective members from diverse backgrounds mysteriously disappeared from the selection pool, according to the Daily Nexus. The explosive allegations have rocked the coastal campus, with outrage spilling onto social media and sorority sisters turning against the very leadership brought in to help them recruit new members.A sorority scandal has erupted at UCSB after members accused an outside recruitment adviser of systematically sidelining women of color. TIKTOK/@ucsbalphaphiSky Achola said she arrived at the house Sept. 27 expecting to meet prospective recruits, only to discover she had been left off the schedule entirely.“All of us started to notice,” chapter president Alana Nielsen told the student newspaper. “It was not just one. It was not just a few. It was not just the women of color. It was all of us.”The drama began during fall recruitment in late September, when Alpha Phi International sent three representatives to oversee the chapter’s annual rush process.Among them was a volunteer recruitment adviser who was also a UCSB Alpha Phi alumna and had assisted the chapter for the previous two years.Roughly 1,200 hopefuls initially participated in recruitment, according to the Santa Barbara News-Press.But after the first round on Sept. 26, sorority members were reportedly ordered to leave while the outside representatives determined which candidates would advance. The allegations have rocked UCSB students, with outrage spilling onto social media and sorority sisters turning against the very leadership brought in to help them recruit new members. UC Santa Barbara AlumniWhen the sisters returned, the pool had reportedly shrunk to approximately 250 women and members immediately noticed something troubling.“There was a large and noticeably diverse group of women who were missing from the pool of potential new members that had returned,” Nielsen told the Daily Nexus. The apparent shake-up was especially baffling because members had reportedly been told that roughly 90% of prospective recruits mutually wanted to return to Alpha Phi.Meanwhile, existing sisters of color were allegedly being pushed to the sidelines.Sky Achola, a Black sorority member and third-year political science major, said she arrived at the house Sept. 27 expecting to meet prospective recruits, only to discover she had been left off the schedule entirely.Alpha Phi sorority chapter president Alana Nielsen said she requested a chapter-wide meeting to address the concerns but was allegedly told by an outside representative that a discussion was unnecessary. Instagram/@alanaanielsenShe soon realized she wasn’t alone.“Pretty much all the women of color in my family system, except for my ‘little,’ who was white, were pulled from all the rounds,” Achola told the News-Press.Achola said she was eventually assigned to one recruitment round after members began raising questions.“I actually personally was in a state of shock for about three days,” she told the outlet. As the alleged discrimination became increasingly apparent, frustration inside the sorority house reached a boiling point.Nielsen said she requested a chapter-wide meeting to address the concerns but was allegedly told by an outside representative that a discussion was unnecessary and that the day should end on a “happy note.”Instead of sending the sisters home, Nielsen gathered members in the chapter room for an emotional confrontation. What followed was nothing short of a sorority revolt.Sky Achola, left, said she was extremely hurt by the alleged discrimination and was in shock for a few days after.“Girls [were] standing up screaming,” recruitment director Emerson Novosel told the Daily Nexus. “It [was] like a revolution happening right now. Like standing up, crying, screaming, and I had never felt so empowered.” Members demanded answers as some broke down in tears, accusing the outside leadership of betraying the chapter’s values. The volunteer adviser reportedly left the meeting after objecting to the confrontation. Later that night, chapter recruitment directors met with the two remaining international representatives and learned that the volunteer had been responsible for deciding which prospective members advanced and which sisters participated in recruitment groups, according to chapter leaders. The unidentified adviser was subsequently reported and removed from her position.Alpha Phi sorority members in Santa Barbara demanded answers as some broke down in tears, accusing the outside leadership of betraying the chapter’s values. TIKTOK/@ucsbalphaphi“It had [become] so disgustingly clear how it was just manipulation, just blatant manipulation to every part of the process with whatever her hidden agenda is,” Novosel told the Daily Nexus. The controversy quickly exploded across Yik Yak, the anonymous social media platform popular among college students, where posts demanding accountability racked up hundreds and sometimes more than 1,000 upvotes, per the News-Press.But the sisters insist they were victims of the alleged discrimination too.“The women of color in the sorority were discriminated against too,” Achola told the News-Press.Despite the uproar, Alpha Phi refused to abandon recruitment, with the national organization choosing instead to take control of the remaining process. The chapter ultimately filled its recruitment quota, leaving uncertainty over whether women allegedly excluded earlier could still receive invitations through a separate informal bidding process. On Oct. 1, members released a collective statement through an anonymous Instagram account, declaring they would fight for change from within.Achola said she was discriminated against and tokenized during the sorority process.“We have chosen to remain in the recruitment process because we believe that our members have the power to create meaningful change from within,” the statement read.Alpha Phi International later sent representatives from its health, wellness and accountability department to meet with chapter members, including at an Oct. 5 meeting.Nielsen said the chapter is collecting statements from members and pushing to overhaul recruitment procedures. For Achola, the fallout has been especially painful.“We were extremely hurt by this entire thing. We were discriminated against. We were tokenized. We were used,” she told the Daily Nexus. And while the sorority’s reputation has taken a beating, Nielsen insisted the sisters are determined to make sure the scandal doesn’t happen again.“That’s going to be a relationship that’s going to take a long time to repair,” she said of the chapter’s relationship with its national leadership. The California Post reached out to Alpha Phi International and UCSB for comment. Download The California Post App, follow us on social, and subscribe to our newsletters California Post News: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, WhatsApp, LinkedInCalifornia Post Sports Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, XCalifornia Post Opinion California Post Newsletters: Sign up here!California Post App: Download here!Home delivery: Sign up here!Page Six Hollywood: Sign up here!

Madonna's Emotional Tribute to Daughter Lourdes Sparks Conversations New

Madonna's Emotional Tribute to Daughter Lourdes Sparks Conversations

Madonna’s little girl is all grown up! The “Danceteria” singer, 68, celebrated her daughter, Lourdes “Lola” Leon, turning 30 on Wednesday, October 14, with a sweet Instagram post paying tribute to her eldest. Madonna shared a series of rare photos and videos of Lourdes on Wednesday, ranging from her childhood to present day, and wrote a sweet message to her daughter. “Happy Birthday My Lolita! You came to me in a Dream. A fever dream. A Dream called Life. If I tried to write it all down, I would cry a river of tears,” Madonna wrote. She continued, “Your chin was tilted up in my birth canal, you were looking for the stars you were stuck. After 18 hours of labor and your heartbeat slowing down, an emergency C-section was the only option. Did I mention the helicopters and news crews swirling above our heads on the top floor of the hospital in East LA? You’re [sic] birth was dramatic. Like our lives.” “Our connection - it is Biblical. When I ask God to explain it to me He tells me- Look in the mirror!” the pop star wrote. “We are Two side sides of the same coin. If what we risk reveals what we value then I would risk it all on you.” “Never forget who you are- Little Star, shining brighter than all the stars in the sky. Never forget how to Dream, Butterfly,” Madonna added. “Never forget where you come from. From Love. ♥️” Madonna welcomed Lourdes with ex Carlos Leon in 1996. She later gave birth to son Rocco, 26, whom she shares with filmmaker ex-husband Guy Ritchie, in 2000. Madonna went on to adopt son David, 21, and daughter Mercy, 20, from Mawali in 2006 and 2009, respectively, followed by twin daughters Stella and Estere, 14, in 2017. Madonna recently collaborated with her eldest daughter on her hit album Confessions II, which was released in July. “Now that I’ve gotten through it and so many very important things have happened to me along the way,” the pop icon said of the album while speaking to Interview magazine earlier this year. “For instance, the song I wrote with my daughter, Lola. She approached me about writing a song together as a way to heal our relationship. It was a really important moment, and it solidified the idea that now is the time to make this record.” Confessions II topped the Billboard 200 chart in July, marking Madonna’s 10th No. 1 in her career.

Anna Gunn's Heartfelt Tribute to RJ Mitte: 'In My Heart Forever' New

Anna Gunn's Heartfelt Tribute to RJ Mitte: 'In My Heart Forever'

Anna Gunn will always have a special place in her heart for her Breaking Bad son, RJ Mitte, following his death by suicide. "I'll never forget meeting RJ when he was only 14 years old," Gunn, 58, said in a statement to Us on Wednesday, October 14. "I was immediately struck by the depth and complexity of someone so young.” After playing his TV mom, Skyler White, for five seasons on the hit AMC series, Gunn called Mitte a “gentle and bold, exceedingly kind, and wickedly funny" person who was "a bit rebellious (like any teenager) yet eager to learn and hone his craft” as an actor. Mitte, for his part, portrayed Walter “Flynn” White Jr., the son of Skyler and Bryan Cranston’s Walter White. (Mitte died by suicide on Monday, October 12, at the age of 34.) “Above all, he was doggedly determined that his disability would not impede him, but would instead give him the opportunity to enlighten and educate others through his nakedly truthful portrayal of Walt 'Flynn' Jr.,” Gunn said, referring to Mitte’s diagnosis with cerebral palsy at age 3. Gunn noted that the entire Breaking Bad family was “lucky” that Mitte “lit up our lives” for so long. "How lucky I was to play his TV mom, to watch him evolve and expand as an actor and human being as the seasons went by, and for all the years after as he continued to serve his community with tireless advocacy and philanthropic work,” she gushed. “I was so proud of him; we all were.” She continued, "There truly are no words to express the heartbreak of a loss this profound, the loss of a beautiful young man who had such an impact upon this world, with still so much ahead of him.” The Emmy winner explained that in the wake of her former costar’s death and amidst so much profound sadness, she is deciding to focus on the positive. "What I choose to remember and cherish today are the quiet, personal moments I shared with my beloved TV son," she continued. "Moments of mutual support and understanding, of belly-aching laughter and silliness, of care and deep love. You live in my heart forever, my dearest RJ." Gunn’s heartfelt tribute comes just days after Mitte’s rep confirmed his death by suicide in Texas. “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte,” his rep said in a statement to Us on Monday. He added, “Beyond entertaining friends and family around the world, he served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s. He also served as president of The Mitte Foundation, supporting philanthropic efforts and community initiatives, while using his platform to challenge stereotypes and promote greater representation for people with disabilities.” Since his death, the Breaking Bad cast has shared sweet messages of sympathy while reminiscing on their time with Mitte, including tributes from Cranston, 70, and Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman. “We were texting each other just a few weeks ago — figuring out when we could meet for lunch,” Cranston wrote via Instagram. “I don’t know if that lunch would have changed his future… But I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series, and after the spotlight on Breaking Bad dimmed… I’ll miss you, son.” Paul, 47, penned his own social media tribute, writing, “I’m so sorry RJ. What an absolute tragic loss. I love you my friend. I loved your mother. Your sister. I loved your laugh and how much fun you had riding the wave we were all blessed to be on with Breaking Bad.” If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. The victim, 42-year-old Hassan Kariem , fell from the 200-foot-tall Goliath hypercoaster during its run at the amusement park in Austell, Georgia. Kariem, an IT manager for Atlanta Public Schools, had overcome significant personal challenges prior to the tragic incident. According to his sister, 35-year-old Andrea Clark, he was in remission from cancer and had recently survived a vehicle fire just weeks earlier. His sister expressed deep shock over the loss, noting how much her brother had managed to overcome throughout his life before the park accident occurred. She recalled how hard he worked to support those around him and reflected on their close relationship. "He's an amazing person," Clark told the New York Post . "The coolest part about me was him." Clark, who called her brother "my hero," expressed confusion over how the incident could happen to someone who was otherwise healthy and able-bodied. "He had other issues, but he's healthy, he was able-bodied. I don't understand it," she said. Clark also commented on his willingness to step up for his loved ones in every aspect of life. "He could do it all," she said. Passengers were pictured stuck on the Goliath ride at Six Flags Over Georgia. "That's just evil," Clark told the Post. "It's tragic, and I feel like we've gone too far as a society." Investigation underway at amusement park Witnesses at the park reported seeing Kariem fall as the Goliath ride traversed its track. The hypercoaster reaches speeds up to 70 mph and features drops of 170 feet and 175 feet, along with a 540-degree spiral. One witness told local station WXIA that Kariem was visible in photos taken during the run. "He was in our pictures," the witness said. "He fell and hit the car three different times." In the wake of the tragedy, Atlanta Public Schools confirmed Kariem's employment with the district and offered condolences to his family. Meanwhile, Six Flags officials announced they are fully cooperating with Cobb County police and local authorities who are investigating the cause of the fall. As a precautionary safety measure, Six Flags temporarily closed similar roller coaster rides at its other theme parks nationwide while safety reviews take place. Authorities have not yet determined what caused Kariem to fall from the ride. Featured image credit: Facebook Hassan Kariem

Jake Bongiovi's Heartfelt Revelation on Fatherhood and Adoption New

Jake Bongiovi's Heartfelt Revelation on Fatherhood and Adoption

Jake Bongiovi has found his entire world shift since becoming a dad. “Becoming a father has completely broadened my understanding of the word love,” Bongiovi, 24, told L’Beaute Homme in a profile published Tuesday, October 13. “I think before you have children, you believe you understand what unconditional love means, but then you experience it in an entirely new way.” Bongiovi has been married to actress Millie Bobbie Brown since 2024 and the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, via adoption one year later. The proud parents confirmed last month that they recently adopted a baby boy. (Brown, 22, and Bongiovi have not publicly revealed their kids’ names.) “There is genuinely no better feeling in the world than hearing your child shout ‘Dada!’ when you walk into a room,” he mused to the outlet. “It's such a simple thing, but it's almost indescribable. In those moments, everything else seems to disappear. Fatherhood has given me a completely different perspective on life.” Bongiovi, one of the sons of Jon Bon Jovi and wife Dorothea Hurley, has since discovered that becoming a parent is an “extraordinary privilege." “Things that once felt incredibly important suddenly seem a little smaller, and the things you might previously have overlooked become the moments you cherish most,” he gushed. “I don't think there's a day that goes by when I'm not reminded of that [privilege].” Bongiovi, who is perpetually in awe watching “how quickly [his] children grow and discover the world,” wants to savor all of their milestones and memories. “One day they've learned how to smile, the next they're laughing, and before you know it, they're taking their first steps,” he said. “Every day brings something new, and you get to experience all of those little discoveries alongside them. My children have taught me to slow down. Life has a way of moving incredibly quickly, and I think we're all guilty of getting caught up in what's next rather than appreciating what's right in front of us.” He continued, “Sometimes the most meaningful part of my day is something as simple as sitting on the floor and playing with them or watching them figure something out for the first time. I think being a good father is ultimately about showing up, being present and creating an environment where your children feel safe enough to discover who they are.” Bongiovi also addressed the couple’s decision to adopt their two children. “Millie and I have built a beautiful family together. Through that experience, we've come to understand and appreciate a phrase that I think captures the meaning of parenthood so perfectly: ‘There are two ways to have a baby, one through your belly and one through your heart,’” he said. “I think there's something incredibly moving about that feeling because, ultimately, both journeys lead to the same place: love. The way a child enters your life doesn't define the love you have for them. What matters is the family you build, the home you create and the commitment you make to love and cherish that child unconditionally.” Bongiovi added, “Every family's story is different, and I think that's something to be celebrated. There isn't one singular way to become a parent or one definition of what a family should look like. For us, it's been an extraordinary journey, one that has taught us so much about love, gratitude and the importance of being present.” Just as Bongiovi has found his purpose as a father, he notes that Brown has also effortlessly taken to parenthood. “Watching Millie become a mother has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life,” he noted. “There's something incredibly special about building a family with your best friend and knowing that you're experiencing all of these firsts together. I think the most important thing is that, through all the changes life brings, we continue to grow in the same direction.”

Sharna Burgess' Emotional Struggle Balancing DWTS and Motherhood

Sharna Burgess' Emotional Struggle Balancing DWTS and Motherhood

Sharna Burgess and her fiancé, Brian Austin Green, work hard to balance their respective careers with family — but it isn’t always easy. “I don't think there is a secret. I think sometimes we nail it and sometimes we don't,” Burgess, 41, exclusively told Us after the Tuesday, October 13, episode of Dancing With the Stars. “I think that's life. And yeah, and it just ebbs and flows, and you try and be a good team and you try and figure it out.” Burgess and Green, 53, have been together since 2020, welcoming son Zane two years later. After the couple’s engagement in 2023, Burgess returned to the DWTS ballroom for season 35 to dance with Bachelor Nation’s Tyler Cameron. (Green has recently been absent from the live shows in order to care for Zane and his older children from previous relationships.) At the end of the competition, Burgess will briefly join the live DWTS tour. “I'm so excited to go back on tour with everyone,” she said on Tuesday. “My life is not a life where I could just leave for three months. I can't take Zane with me, like, there's a lot of things in it.” According to Burgess, she agreed to go on the road for only “a couple weeks at a time.” “We're figuring out how to sprinkle me in there,” she said. “That's nothing unusual for our life, going away and working for a few weeks at a time. A few months [is] definitely different.” During Tuesday’s Super Bowl Night, Burgess and Cameron, 33, scored a total 30 out of 40 for their jazz routine inspired by the Black Eyed Peas’ 2011 halftime show. The pair narrowly survived elimination over Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson. “We've been hanging in the bottom of the barrel for a minute now, so it seems like I know the humidity and the weather down here,” Cameron told Us. “I would like to get out of it, so hopefully next week we have a great moment and we find ourselves out of that bottom. … I promise you, the scores will get better. Just keep voting, y'all.” Burgess stressed that she is “grateful” for the fan votes as she and Cameron gear up for an emotional Dedication Night performance. “It's been something I've had circled on my calendar. It's a big goal of mine to get here,” Cameron teased. “I want to [do something special]. Sharna is the most incredible storyteller. This is, like, what she's truly passionate about, and it's made us very emotional for weeks now.” Without revealing the inspiration for their next routine, Cameron and Burgess hinted it will leave fans in tears. “When I created the edit of the song, I needed tissues,” the choreographer told Us. “Then, I prepped it the other day, and I also needed tissues, so you'll definitely need them.” Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Major Banks Under Fire for Targeting Conservative Groups in Secretive Debanking Scandal

Major Banks Under Fire for Targeting Conservative Groups in Secretive Debanking Scandal

Major banks closed accounts and refused credit to MAGA merchants, pro-life causes, religious groups, conservative organizations and sectors disfavored by the Biden administration, such as firearms, oil and gas, and private prisons, a bombshell report from the federal banking regulator has found. The Debanking Review by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) investigated 100,000 complaints and scrutinized 50,000 internal bank records to reveal how customers were “debanked” based purely on their political, social, or religious beliefs.JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Capital One, PNC, TD Bank, and BMO Bank were found to have discriminated against American consumers, citing “reputation risk” as a reason to deny service between 2020 and 2025.President Joe Biden delivers a prime-time address to the nation in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC, on July 24, 2024. Bloomberg via Getty ImagesNegative press, protests, criticism from advocacy groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, and reprisals from regulators or politicians were cited as the reputation risks most feared by the banks. The 47-page OCC report, “Guaranteeing Fair Banking for All Americans,” released Wednesday, found that the nation’s largest banks targeted Christian organizations over abortion, LGBTQ issues, and traditional family values. The banks also restricted financing for “disfavored” industries such as firearms makers and retailers, Arctic oil and gas, coal, detention facilities, tobacco and e-cigarettes.Among the examples in the report is JPMorgan Chase’s payment operation, WePay, closing the account of a merchant that sold merchandise promoting President Trump and the Make America Great Again (MAGA) brand, claiming it “promote[d] hate, violence, or racial intolerance.”The bank’s internal screening system regularly flagged terms such as “MAGA,” “Make America Great,” and “America First” that appeared in merchants’ customer profiles, websites, and transaction information. Several of the terms used to find “violations” were added after the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. WePay also closed accounts for a merchant selling “conservative/republican t-shirts, hats, etc.” Merchandise that raised “red flags” included a “Biden-Illegitimate-Tshirt,” “The-Big-Lie-Sticker”, and a “Trump-Won” flag.JPMorgan Chase bank’s internal screening system regularly flagged terms such as “MAGA,” “Make America Great,” and “America First” that appeared in merchants’ customer profiles. Taylor Swift's Behind-the-Scenes Moment with Travis Kelce Has Fans Talking

Taylor Swift's Behind-the-Scenes Moment with Travis Kelce Has Fans Talking

Taylor Swift surrounded herself with loved ones while filming her “Patient Zero” video, including husband Travis Kelce. In a behind-the-scenes Spotify reel from the track’s Los Angeles shoot shared by Swift, 36, on Tuesday, October 13, Kelce, 37, was captured standing behind his wife as she worked on the video alongside one of its stars Dakota Johnson. While Swift sat in a director’s chair, the NFL star held onto Swift’s arms and rubbed her shoulders as he flashed a wide smile. The pop star, who filmed the video in a $47 million Beverly Hills mansion in March, per People, was seen resting her head into Kelce’s chest in a cozy display of affection between takes. Swift and Kelce’s wardrobes also complemented one another’s, with the singer sporting a cream knit and the athlete rocking a similar-hued collared skitted shirt of his own with an Elwood baseball cap. The reel’s release comes just days after the couple, who got married inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 3, stepped out holding hands while enjoying a date night in the city. In footage published by Page Six, the pair were seen leaving the Jane Hotel and entering a waiting vehicle. For their night out, Kelce opted for another collared short-sleeved shirt while Swift paired form-fitting pants with a cropped brown top. Last month, Swift opened up about what inspired her to write "Patient Zero," which she announced as a new single on an extended version of 2025’s The Life of a Showgirl, on September 22. She said three days after her announcement during a Capital FM radio interview in the U.K, “The story behind me writing the song ‘Patient Zero’ is that I was hanging out with a bunch of friends, and one of my friends told us that she had been reached out to by the new girlfriend of an ex of hers, asking for guidance on if she had had the same experiences with this guy.” Swift added at the time that “everyone” in the group “immediately started saying, like, ‘Oh, I’ve been through that too,’ and telling the stories of when this kind of reach out had happened for them.” She concluded, “I thought to myself, ‘If this has happened to all of us, it’s such an interesting kind of angle on humanity and on relationships, and I wonder if I could write something from the perspective of getting this phone call, and really only from the perspective and the side of the phone call of the ex who’s been through it before.” Joining Johnson, 37, in the video, are other famous friends including Colin Farrell, Cara Delevingne and Matthew Stafford. Swift spoke in detail about the song via Instagram on September 28, too, noting that she was grateful to its collaborators for their efforts. “I want to thank @dakotajohnson and Colin for trusting me with their time, taste, and talent (Giggling with your friend because you’re twinning for an entire shoot was a new and truly delightful experience),” she wrote at the time. “And Colin’s turn as a villain is even more impressive when you get to be around him. He’s an absolute light and as kind as they come. @caradelevingne, thank you for agreeing to play the lusty other woman. That’s what friends are for?”

Major Banks Under Fire for Discrimination Against Conservative Groups

Major Banks Under Fire for Discrimination Against Conservative Groups

Former NASA Astronaut's Shocking Claim: UFOs Are Demonic in Disguise

See more of our coverage in your search results. Former NASA astronaut Charles Duke claimed that UFOs are demons that disguise themselves as angels so they can turn us away from our faith. Viktor - stock.adobe.com They skew more “Event Horizon” than “Close Encounters.”So much for sci-fi-movie-informed notions that extraterrestrials are benevolent beings aiming to better humanity.Former NASA astronaut Charles Duke claimed that UFOs are demons masquerading as angels, citing a Bible passage as evidence.“The Lord says what we’re seeing is real, but the devil can appear as an angel of light, the Bible says,” said the 91-year-old ex-spaceman during a recent appearance on the Christian Broadcasting Network.“You can laugh at me if you want to, but that’s … what God showed me, and I’m sticking to it,” declared Duke. LUKAS BARTH-TUTTAS/EPA-EFE / ShutterstockDuke, who became the youngest person to walk on the moon at age 36 during 1972’s Apollo 16 mission, claimed that these deep space demons are “trying to turn us away from the truth” and have us pursue alleged alien entities. The former explorer, who was the lunar module pilot for said spacecraft, claimed that he had long believed ETs were malevolent — but no one had believed him.“For a long time [years ago] I was praying about UFOs, and asked for a sign,” Duke said. “I felt like UFOs were demonic … but I was saying that at rotary clubs and stuff like that, and people were laughing me off the stage.”That’s when he decided to ask the Lord for a sign: If his close friend, a businessman who never discussed such far-out topics, would broach UFOs the next morning, it would prove his theory was true.In this April 1972 photo provided by NASA, astronaut John Young salutes the U.S. flag at the Descartes landing site on the moon during the first Apollo 16 extravehicular activity. APLo and behold, the next morning his friend allegedly said “Charlie, come on over. I want to start talking to you about UFOs,” Duke recalled. He said his suspicions were further confirmed by a passage the Bible’s 2 Corinthians 11:14, which says: “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”During this excerpt, Apostle Paul cautioned his followers about false apostles who disguise themselves as true believers espousing Christ’s gospel.Duke appeared to imply that these alleged wolves in priest’s clothing could come from the cosmos as well.“The Lord says what we’re seeing is real, but the devil can appear as an angel of light, the Bible says,” said Duke. Jaume – stock.adobe.com“You can laugh at me if you want to, but that’s … what God showed me, and I’m sticking to it,” declared Duke, who also served as the spacecraft communicator (CAPCOM) for the Apollo 11 Moon landing. Coincidentally, the former space-farer claimed he never had any close encounters during his lunar voyages.Coincidentally, Duke isn’t the first to float a religious interpretation of UFOs. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL.), who was one of the most prominent UFO disclosure voices in the weeks since the Whitehouse announced its UFO disclosure releases, uploaded religiously-charged messages to social media. On day of the first UFO disclosure release on May 8, the pol posted an X picture of a winged Ophanim — a wheel-like celestial entity described in the Book of Ezekiel.Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance theorized that UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) were the non-spacely spawn of Satan.“I don’t think they’re aliens. I think they’re demons anyway, but that’s a long discussion,” the veep told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson in March.
