Taylor Swift's Behind-the-Scenes Moment with Travis Kelce Has Fans Talking New

Taylor Swift's Behind-the-Scenes Moment with Travis Kelce Has Fans Talking

Taylor Swift surrounded herself with loved ones while filming her “Patient Zero” video, including husband Travis Kelce. In a behind-the-scenes Spotify reel from the track’s Los Angeles shoot shared by Swift, 36, on Tuesday, October 13, Kelce, 37, was captured standing behind his wife as she worked on the video alongside one of its stars Dakota Johnson. While Swift sat in a director’s chair, the NFL star held onto Swift’s arms and rubbed her shoulders as he flashed a wide smile. The pop star, who filmed the video in a $47 million Beverly Hills mansion in March, per People, was seen resting her head into Kelce’s chest in a cozy display of affection between takes. Swift and Kelce’s wardrobes also complemented one another’s, with the singer sporting a cream knit and the athlete rocking a similar-hued collared skitted shirt of his own with an Elwood baseball cap. The reel’s release comes just days after the couple, who got married inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 3, stepped out holding hands while enjoying a date night in the city. In footage published by Page Six, the pair were seen leaving the Jane Hotel and entering a waiting vehicle. For their night out, Kelce opted for another collared short-sleeved shirt while Swift paired form-fitting pants with a cropped brown top. Last month, Swift opened up about what inspired her to write "Patient Zero," which she announced as a new single on an extended version of 2025’s The Life of a Showgirl, on September 22. She said three days after her announcement during a Capital FM radio interview in the U.K, “The story behind me writing the song ‘Patient Zero’ is that I was hanging out with a bunch of friends, and one of my friends told us that she had been reached out to by the new girlfriend of an ex of hers, asking for guidance on if she had had the same experiences with this guy.” Swift added at the time that “everyone” in the group “immediately started saying, like, ‘Oh, I’ve been through that too,’ and telling the stories of when this kind of reach out had happened for them.” She concluded, “I thought to myself, ‘If this has happened to all of us, it’s such an interesting kind of angle on humanity and on relationships, and I wonder if I could write something from the perspective of getting this phone call, and really only from the perspective and the side of the phone call of the ex who’s been through it before.” Joining Johnson, 37, in the video, are other famous friends including Colin Farrell, Cara Delevingne and Matthew Stafford. Swift spoke in detail about the song via Instagram on September 28, too, noting that she was grateful to its collaborators for their efforts. “I want to thank @dakotajohnson and Colin for trusting me with their time, taste, and talent (Giggling with your friend because you’re twinning for an entire shoot was a new and truly delightful experience),” she wrote at the time. “And Colin’s turn as a villain is even more impressive when you get to be around him. He’s an absolute light and as kind as they come. @caradelevingne, thank you for agreeing to play the lusty other woman. That’s what friends are for?”

Major Banks Under Fire for Discrimination Against Conservative Groups New

Major Banks Under Fire for Discrimination Against Conservative Groups

Major banks closed accounts and refused credit to MAGA merchants, pro-life causes, religious groups, conservative organizations and sectors disfavored by the Biden administration, such as firearms, oil and gas, and private prisons, a bombshell report from the federal banking regulator has found. The Debanking Review by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) investigated 100,000 complaints and scrutinized 50,000 internal bank records to reveal how customers were “debanked” based purely on their political, social, or religious beliefs.JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Capital One, PNC, TD Bank, and BMO Bank were found to have discriminated against American consumers, citing “reputation risk” as a reason to deny service between 2020 and 2025.President Joe Biden delivers a prime-time address to the nation in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC, on July 24, 2024. Bloomberg via Getty ImagesNegative press, protests, criticism from advocacy groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, and reprisals from regulators or politicians were cited as the reputation risks most feared by the banks. The 47-page OCC report, “Guaranteeing Fair Banking for All Americans,” released Wednesday, found that the nation’s largest banks targeted Christian organizations over abortion, LGBTQ issues, and traditional family values. The banks also restricted financing for “disfavored” industries such as firearms makers and retailers, Arctic oil and gas, coal, detention facilities, tobacco and e-cigarettes.Among the examples in the report is JPMorgan Chase’s payment operation, WePay, closing the account of a merchant that sold merchandise promoting President Trump and the Make America Great Again (MAGA) brand, claiming it “promote[d] hate, violence, or racial intolerance.”The bank’s internal screening system regularly flagged terms such as “MAGA,” “Make America Great,” and “America First” that appeared in merchants’ customer profiles, websites, and transaction information. Several of the terms used to find “violations” were added after the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. WePay also closed accounts for a merchant selling “conservative/republican t-shirts, hats, etc.” Merchandise that raised “red flags” included a “Biden-Illegitimate-Tshirt,” “The-Big-Lie-Sticker”, and a “Trump-Won” flag.JPMorgan Chase bank’s internal screening system regularly flagged terms such as “MAGA,” “Make America Great,” and “America First” that appeared in merchants’ customer profiles. The SPLC was indicted in April on federal fraud and money-laundering charges, with prosecutors alleging it defrauded donors of millions of dollars. FBI Director Kash Patel has described the non-profit as a “partisan smear machine.” JPMorgan’s WePay, for instance,  closed the account of a religious organization citing the fact it had been designated an “extremist hate group” by the SPLC. In the bank’s internal tracking system, employees described the organization as a “[r]ight wing religious conservative non profit with strong anti LGBTQ rhetoric.” WePay also closed an account used to raise funds to support a legal challenge of anti-discrimination laws by a “devout Christian”. PNC refused to issue a line of credit to a successful media company because the bank’s environmental and social governance group noted that one owner had a foundation that “has funded several Christian conservative groups, including several identified as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center.” Another owner was branded “a conservative political commentator.” People are reflected in a window as they walk by a Citibank branch in New York City, July 16, 2025. REUTERSThe bank employee who recommended the refusal wrote: “I think it becomes really difficult to justify aligning ourselves with a company whose owners have built very public personas around opinions very contrary to PNC’s beliefs/values.”Wells Fargo pressured a payment processor to terminate a religious nonprofit because of its views on same-sex marriage. Wells Fargo also declined to lend money to two firearms businesses, with employees fearing repercussions from the Biden administration and criticism from anti-gun activists and members of Congress.“Under the Biden administration, banks could face greater supervisory pressure to move away from lending to the firearms industry,” noted a reputation risk review of a prospective firearms client.Wells Fargo pressured a payment processor to terminate a religious nonprofit because of its views on same-sex marriage.  Bloomberg via Getty ImagesBank of America debanked private-prison businesses citing “changing policymaker attitudes,” and then tried to re-establish one of the accounts just months into the Trump administration. The OCC report also found organizations on both sides of the political spectrum had been denied services because of their perceived political affiliations. Capital One, for instance, declined to provide financial services to any partisan entity that supported the campaigns of candidates from a single political party. The bank refused business with an organization promoting “reproductive rights [that was] synonymous with abortion and the Dems” and also declined services to a gun rights organization “due to optics that we endorsed its position.”Bank of America debanked private-prison businesses citing “changing policymaker attitudes,” and then tried to re-establish one of the accounts just months into the Trump administration. Christopher Sadowski for NY PostAlthough all nine banks told the OCC they had revised their practices, the regulator said the reforms have not gone far enough and that no bank had “fully and publicly acknowledged” its “weaponization of finance against hardworking Americans.”The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) announced an investigation into the banks Wednesday and pledged to address any consumer harm caused by the debanking practices described in the report.“It is appalling that these banks targeted American consumers for their political, social, or religious beliefs that did not align with the Biden Administration or its leftist allies,” said CFPB’s Acting Director Mark Paoletta. “Many of those targeted were supporters of President Trump. These thuggish tactics… have no place in America…“The CFPB will fully investigate whether the institutions featured in OCC’s report and others have complied with federal consumer financial laws and take appropriate action.” The CFPB holds primary supervisory and enforcement authority for banks with over $10 billion in assets.Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Former NASA Astronaut's Shocking Claim: UFOs Are Demonic in Disguise

Viktor - stock.adobe.com They skew more “Event Horizon” than “Close Encounters.”So much for sci-fi-movie-informed notions that extraterrestrials are benevolent beings aiming to better humanity.Former NASA astronaut Charles Duke claimed that UFOs are demons masquerading as angels, citing a Bible passage as evidence.“The Lord says what we’re seeing is real, but the devil can appear as an angel of light, the Bible says,” said the 91-year-old ex-spaceman during a recent appearance on the Christian Broadcasting Network.“You can laugh at me if you want to, but that’s … what God showed me, and I’m sticking to it,” declared Duke. LUKAS BARTH-TUTTAS/EPA-EFE / ShutterstockDuke, who became the youngest person to walk on the moon at age 36 during 1972’s Apollo 16 mission, claimed that these deep space demons are “trying to turn us away from the truth” and have us pursue alleged alien entities. The former explorer, who was the lunar module pilot for said spacecraft, claimed that he had long believed ETs were malevolent — but no one had believed him.“For a long time [years ago] I was praying about UFOs, and asked for a sign,” Duke said. “I felt like UFOs were demonic … but I was saying that at rotary clubs and stuff like that, and people were laughing me off the stage.”That’s when he decided to ask the Lord for a sign: If his close friend, a businessman who never discussed such far-out topics, would broach UFOs the next morning, it would prove his theory was true.In this April 1972 photo provided by NASA, astronaut John Young salutes the U.S. flag at the Descartes landing site on the moon during the first Apollo 16 extravehicular activity. APLo and behold, the next morning his friend allegedly said “Charlie, come on over. I want to start talking to you about UFOs,” Duke recalled. He said his suspicions were further confirmed by a passage the Bible’s 2 Corinthians 11:14, which says: “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”During this excerpt, Apostle Paul cautioned his followers about false apostles who disguise themselves as true believers espousing Christ’s gospel.Duke appeared to imply that these alleged wolves in priest’s clothing could come from the cosmos as well.“The Lord says what we’re seeing is real, but the devil can appear as an angel of light, the Bible says,” said Duke. Jaume – stock.adobe.com“You can laugh at me if you want to, but that’s … what God showed me, and I’m sticking to it,” declared Duke, who also served as the spacecraft communicator (CAPCOM) for the Apollo 11 Moon landing. Coincidentally, the former space-farer claimed he never had any close encounters during his lunar voyages.Coincidentally, Duke isn’t the first to float a religious interpretation of UFOs. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL.), who was one of the most prominent UFO disclosure voices in the weeks since the Whitehouse announced its UFO disclosure releases, uploaded religiously-charged messages to social media. On day of the first UFO disclosure release on May 8, the pol posted an X picture of a winged Ophanim — a wheel-like celestial entity described in the Book of Ezekiel.Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance theorized that UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) were the non-spacely spawn of Satan.“I don’t think they’re aliens. I think they’re demons anyway, but that’s a long discussion,” the veep told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson in March.

Florida Execution: The Unsettling Story Behind James Robertson's Death Row Choice New

Florida Execution: The Unsettling Story Behind James Robertson's Death Row Choice

See more of our coverage in your search results. STARKE, Fla. — A Florida prisoner who said he killed his cellmate specifically to get on death row was executed Tuesday, nearly 18 years after the attack.James Robertson, 63, declined to offer any last words before receiving a three-drug injection and was pronounced dead about 10 minutes later. It was a stark contrast to the failed execution of Christa Pike in Tennessee two weeks ago, where she was rushed to the hospital after surviving two lethal doses of pentobarbital.Robertson’s execution, the first in Florida since Pike, comes at a time of escalating attention on the death penalty in the United States. The Pentagon said last week that it would livestream the firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan, drawing criticism from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers.Florida inmate James Robertson was executed on Oct. 13, 2026. Florida Department of Corrections“Florida has a sound lethal injection process and protocol,” Jordan Kirkland, a state Department of Corrections spokesperson, said at a news conference before the execution. Although he couldn’t speak to Tennessee’s lethal injection procedure, he said Florida would make sure its process was “humane and dignified.”Florida executes people by injecting them with a sedative, a paralytic, and a drug that stops the heart, according to the Department of Corrections.Robertson wanted to be executedRobertson had pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for strangling Frank Hart while he slept in 2008, and waived all appeals. He told investigators that he did it so he wouldn’t have to live out his days in prison.Hart was killed just eight days before he was due to be released, his daughter, Rebecca Hart, told reporters at Florida State Prison. She stressed that her father was not just a piece of Robertson’s story.Robertson pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for killing his cellmate, Frank Hart, in 2008. Netflix“When someone you love is taken from you in such a violent way, the world keeps moving, even when a part of yours feels like it has stopped,” she read. “Other people go on with their lives, but you carry your loss into every tomorrow.”Robertson was 17 years old when he went to prison in 1980 for burglary and assault. Years of convictions for escape, battery and weapons while in prison kept adding time to his total sentence. Hart had been sent to prison in 2003 following a sexual battery conviction.A rare reprieve leaves another Florida prisoner on death rowRobertson was supposed to be one of two executions carried out by Florida on Tuesday, but Gov. Ron DeSantis withdrew a death warrant last week for William Lee Thompson. The Republican governor did not provide a reason but had temporarily stayed the execution last month pending a psychiatric evaluation.Records show this was the first time DeSantis withdrew a death warrant. Thompson, 74, will remain on death row, and a new death warrant could be signed in the future. His attorneys say he has dementia and failing health, and they want him transferred to a medical facility.DeSantis is the third Florida governor to sign a death warrant for Thompson. Bob Graham and Bob Martinez both scheduled executions for Thompson in the 1980s, but years of appeals and stays allowed him to avoid the electric chair, the state’s method of execution at the time.Thompson was convicted of first-degree murder, kidnapping and sexual battery in the 1976 killing of 23-year-old Sally Ivester.Florida has the nation’s busiest death chamberDeSantis oversaw 19 executions in 2025, more than any other Florida governor in a single year since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976. Robertson was the state’s 17th execution of 2026, with two more already scheduled, not counting Thompson.Law enforcement vehicles sit parked outside the Florida state prison in Starke, Fla. on July 28, 2026. AP Photo/David FischerDeSantis, who leaves office in January, has made few public comments about the unprecedented number of executions but explained previously that his goal is to bring justice to victims’ families who have waited decades for the death sentences to be carried out.William Reaves, 77, is scheduled to be executed on Oct. 20, followed by Jesse Guardado, 64, on Nov. 5. Reaves was convicted of fatally shooting a deputy after dropping a gun in front of the law enforcement officer in 1986. Guardado was convicted of robbing and killing a woman in order to buy drugs in 2004.A total of 47 people were executed in the US in 2025. Besides leading all other states last year, Florida has carried out more than half the 31 total executions in the US so far this year. In July, Florida executed two prisoners in one day, the first state in nearly a decade to do so.

Amelia Earhart's Plane: Could Giant Crabs Hold the Key? New

Amelia Earhart's Plane: Could Giant Crabs Hold the Key?

See more of our coverage in your search results. The mystery of Amelia Earhart’s long-lost aircraft may finally be solved — as researchers believe searchers spent nearly nine decades looking in the wrong place. A 17-member team from Purdue University and the Archaeological Legacy Institute (ALI) has launched a high-stakes expedition to Nikumaroro, a remote South Pacific atoll overrun by massive, three-foot land crabs. The coconut crab is the largest crustacean that spends all its adult life on land, and has been spotted mounting attacks in the night and grabbing unsuspecting prey that pass too close to the crabs’ burrows.Researchers suspect Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan miscalculated their course on July 2, 1937, landing on Nikumaroro instead of Howland Island, 350 miles to the north, where they attempted to land. A satellite image shows the Taraia Object in a lagoon on Nikumaroro Island, suspected to be Amelia Earhart’s plane. Archaeological Legacy InstituteThe Purdue expedition arrived on the island’s western edge on Oct. 12 and the team is using a floating hydraulic dredge to clear underwater sediment and uncover the unidentified object. The team is focusing on the “Taraia Object” – a submerged shape detected near the shoreline in satellite imagery that researchers think could be the remains of the Lockheed Electra 10E’s tail and fuselage.ALI and Purdue report that the object was identified in satellite data in 2020, though historical photographs suggest it has rested in the lagoon since 1938. The team aims to confirm aluminum skin and rivet patterns to positively identify the plane. The voyage marks the 20th organized search for Earhart’s plane, since she reported running low on fuel to the U.S. Coast Guard before radio contact was lost. Previous attempts were misled by natural underwater rock formations, but researchers believe post-landing radio distress signals and artifacts found point directly to Nikumaroro.Prior discoveries on the island include human bones found in 1940 –  later analyzed in 2018 as consistent with a woman of Earhart’s build — along with 1930s-era remnants of a woman’s shoe and a freckle cream jar. Theory holds that the pair briefly survived as castaways before the aircraft was swept into deeper water. Amelia Earhart flew and promoted the Stearman-Hammond Y-1 (often called the Hammond Y monoplane) in 1936. HUM Images/Universal Images Group via Getty ImagesThe island’s native Coconut crabs, known for their powerful claws and bone-scavenging habits, have fueled grim speculation that the aviators’ remains were dispersed shortly after their deaths. To ensure safety, Purdue and ALI researchers sleep aboard their vessel each night. If the team locates the Electra during this five-day operational window, they will map the site and return next year for full recovery. Purdue University is currently negotiating with the nation of Kiribati, which comprises 33 islands including Phoenix Islands, to bring the wreckage back to the United States.Earhart served as a career counselor for women at Purdue and advisor to its Department of Aeronautics in 1935 prior to her historic attempt to circumnavigate the globe. Before this, she was the first person to fly a solo, nonstop flight across the United States (1932) and the first woman/second person to fly nonstop alone across the Atlantic.

Victoria's Secret Angel Romee Strijd's Emotional Response to Show Rejection New

Victoria's Secret Angel Romee Strijd's Emotional Response to Show Rejection

Victoria’s Secret Angel Romee Strijd got candid about not being selected to walk in the 2026 fashion show. “I just hung up the phone [and] it’s a no, which is fine because rejection is part of modeling and that’s totally fine,” Strijd, 31, shared via TikTok on Monday, October 12, just days before the 2026 fashion show is set to take place on Sunday, October 18. She went on to say that while the casting team thought she looked “great,” they didn't think she would “fit in the show this year.” Strijd continued while wiping a tear from her eye, “I was like, ‘What was the reason? I would love to have an explanation.’” Her agency told her that the casting team “wasn't there yet” and that she had “been released,” which she said was news to her. The supermodel shared that she felt “left in the dark” on the matter and that she doesn't think she’s “gonna cast anymore in the future” because it left a bad taste in her mouth. “I don't like the way I was treated,” she said, noting that she wants to keep “the positive memories” from years past. In a separate TikTok on Monday, Strijd explained that she went to a casting call in September and “trained for it this summer.” “I wanted to do the show again even after kids. It felt like the right timing,” she said. (Strijd shares daughters Mint, 5, and June 3, with her fiancé, Laurens van Leeuwen. The couple has been engaged since 2022.) https://www.tiktok.com/@romeestrijd/video/7695781437244591374?lang=en “I knew the casting director already. I went and I thought I was gonna know soon after if I was gonna do the show or not, but I didn't hear anything for weeks,” she added. “I think I was on some sort of ‘maybe list.’ It’s Monday now, the show is on Sunday, and I still haven't heard anything.” Strijd continued to ask her agency for updates, but they told her she was still on the “maybe” list. “It's been a little bit of a roller-coaster mentally for me, since I have to continue training, but I’m not sure if I’m gonna do it.” “I wish I had a little bit more clearance,” she continued. “I think it’s gonna be a no but I also keep training because you never know — in fashion and modeling it’s all very last minute.” Strijd walked in every Victoria’s Fashion Show from 2014 though 2018. With this year’s catwalk event just days away, fans have been sounding off about the castings. “Influencers doing the show but not the OG angels????? Insanity,” one social media user commented on Strijd’s video, while another wrote, “Honestly... if you don't walk and they use influencers and nepo babies thats a [sic] absolute joke!!!”

Florida Man Allegedly Attacks Shopper Over 1960s Grudge New

Florida Man Allegedly Attacks Shopper Over 1960s Grudge

A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly slashed a 70-year-old man across the face with a box cutter as she shopped at Publix because he “disliked” people born in the 1960s, authorities claim. Ramsey Thomas Lyons was arrested on Saturday, October 10, and charged with aggravated battery on a person 65 years or older. The alleged incident took place when Lyons, 47, came into contact with the 70-year-old man while he was shopping in an aisle at the grocery store. The victim "suddenly felt as if someone had punched him in the left side of his face,” according to a probable cause arrest affidavit viewed by Law & Crime. Police said that he then turned around and saw Lyons staring at him while holding a box cutter. The victim realized he had been stabbed when he saw blood on his hands and he ran for help, according to the affidavit. Officers with the Punta Gorda Police Department then arrived at the scene, and they found Lyons standing near the store entrance with his hands on his head. Lyons was taken into custody and officers recovered a box cutter at the scene. Lyons then spoke to authorities and told them that he had an "undiagnosed mental illness" and had a "dislike for the 1960's era,” per the affidavit. The defendant added that he allegedly entered the store "with the intent to murder someone" and he saw the victim soon after. Lyons also said that he allegedly attacked the man because he "looked like he was from the 1960's.” "I just pulled it out of my pocket and stuck it in his neck," Lyons allegedly said before adding that he had been thinking of attacking someone in the two days leading up to the attack. Following the attack, he said that he dropped the box cutter so the police "wouldn't be scared" and, as a result, shoot or Taser him. Additionally, Lyons told authorities that he did not know the victim and randomly picked him out. Police said that the victim suffered a gash to his face, which started on his left cheek near his mouth. The cut continued down on his jawline to his neck. Authorities added that the victims needed "numerous stitches,” but appeared to be in stable condition. After Lyons was arrested, he was taken to Charlotte County Jail and is currently being held without bond. He is next scheduled to appear in court on November 16. It is not currently clear if Lyons has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following his arrest. The Punta Gorda Police Department had no additional information to share when contacted by Us about the case.

Why Donald Trump's Marijuana Rescheduling Plan Just Hit a Roadblock New

Why Donald Trump's Marijuana Rescheduling Plan Just Hit a Roadblock

","amp":null,"link":"https://www.viously.com/vt-co/sN-KZniq07s","iframe":null,"oembed":"https://www.viously.com/oembed?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.viously.com%2Fvt-co%2FsN-KZniq07s"}" data-thumbnail-url="https://cdn.viously.com/video/sN-KZniq07s/1-w960.webp" data-video-url="https://dltj72yijj96u.cloudfront.net/videos/ssstwitter.com_1791825246849_AihF6k.mp4"> There has been an unexpected development in President Donald Trump 's plan to reclassify marijuana. Under current plans, the Trump administration would re-classify marijuana from a Schedule I drug to a Schedule III drug. However, those hoping that the plans (which would mean it is looked on by law as a less dangerous drug than it currently is) would be put into action soon might not be happy with the latest development. Work to reclassify marijuana has been ongoing since 2024, but the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has just announced the rescheduling has, as of right now, been paused. Why has the rescheduling of marijuana been paused? The DEA has announced that the planned re-scheduling of marijuana has been paused so they could consider a new report on drug scheduling issued by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). In a new report, the DEA says that this report would need to be added to the hearing record and briefings because it would concern rescheduling all products containing marijuana, not just those approved by the FDA. All federal agencies have until October 13 to respond to this request. After this, the presiding judge in the case will consider whether to admit the GAO report into its findings. If it is admitted, then a much wider array of products containing marijuana will then be rescheduled, so the wait for many could be worth it. Currently, forty states and the capitol city Washington D.C have legalized the use of medical marijuana, while a further twenty-four states and Washington D.C have legalized the recreational use of marijuana for adults. But what does this rescheduling actually mean? Some groups want marijuana completely legalized. Credit: Catherine Falls Commercial / Getty Images What would the rescheduling of marijuana in the US mean? In layman's terms, the rescheduling of marijuana from Schedule I to a Schedule III drug wouldn't fully legalize the recreational use of cannabis at federal level, but it would acknowledge its medical usage and lower the restrictions on the drug federally. This would mean that the government would officially acknowledge the medicinal benefits of using marijuana and that it has a lower propensity for abuse than other Schedule I drugs, like heroin or LSD. Tax burdens for cannabis businesses would also be lessened, since they would finally be able to deduct normal business expenses and it could, theoretically, start being prescribed to patients via FDA-approved pathways. Currently, marijuana is classed as a Schedule I drug, which means at a federal level, it is looked at as a drug with no accepted medical use and a high propensity for abuse. As a Schedule III drug, it would be deemed to be acceptable for medical use and a moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence, such as some pain medications, ketamine, and anabolic steroids. Reading Rainbow's Mychal Threets Opens Up About His Emotional Struggle New

Reading Rainbow's Mychal Threets Opens Up About His Emotional Struggle

Reading Rainbow host Mychal Threets is sharing an update on his mental health, admitting he believes he is “running out of time.” “People keep on saying, ‘Michael, I'm glad to see you're doing well. I'm glad to see you're OK.’ But I'm not doing well. I'm not OK. But I believe that's OK, because I'm trying my best,” the TikTok-famous librarian said in an Instagram video on Saturday, October 10, to mark World Mental Health Day. Threets, 36, continued, “My brain is very loud. My feelings are very big. I believe I am running out of time. I don't know how much time I have left. But I'm going to keep on trying to find joy each and every day. No matter what happens, I believe joy is out there for me. Joy is there for you. I am going to pursue joy relentlessly with all the time I have left. I don't know what tomorrow has in store; I haven't met tomorrow yet, but I have hope.” “I want to see you at the library, at the bookstore, in the world where we all belong,” he went on. “I want to stay. I'm trying to stay. I am asking for help. I am asking for joy. I am seizing hope I'm on a journey to OK, to keep on to tomorrow, each and every day. I'm trying to stay, and I'm thankful for you. Thank you for trying. Thank you for staying. We're still here.” In August, Threets sparked concern with a cryptic Threads post announcing that he was seeking medical treatment. “I am not okay. I haven’t been OK for what feels like a very, very long time. I am not OK. But I have hope that I will get to OK.” He continued, “I’m on the struggle bookmobile. It’s gonna take a long time for me to be OK. It’s going to take a long time, but I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ to the multitude of doctors, nurses and mental health workers I saw — it’s not enough, but thank you, you saved my life.” Threets has hosted Reading Rainbow since it relaunched on YouTube in October 2025. Job Seeker's Bold Resume Stunt Sparks Internet Frenzy

See more of our coverage in your search results. Standing out to recruiters in today’s competitive job market is no easy feat, but one job seeker has taken an ultra-unconventional route to ensure their application gets noticed. An image of a half-printed resume featuring a cheeky pitch line has gone viral on Reddit, leaving internet users equal parts amused and thoroughly divided over whether it’s a stroke of personal branding genius or a total disaster. The top half of the document appears like a fairly standard CV, featuring a partial headshot alongside a career objective outlining a desire “to be part of your company wherein I can enhance my skills and gain more knowledge.” It’s the epitome of Gen Z thinking. However, instead of listing the usual work experience, education, and contact details, the page abruptly stops halfway down. RedditHowever, instead of listing the usual work experience, education, and contact details, the page abruptly stops halfway down.Printed across the blank lower section is just a single line: “Hire me to unlock my full potential.”The clever design essentially turns a simple job application into a joke that captures the struggle of trying to get noticed. Jirapong – stock.adobe.comMany people praised the man’s innovative thinking, calling it a “clever” and “creative” way to get an employer’s attention; many people said they would hire him if they received that resume.“If I were a recruiter, I’d 100% be giving you a call for an interview,” one person commented on an Instagram post.“I’d hire him on the spot. An innovator,” a second user chimed in.However, pragmatic onlookers were quick to highlight the major flaw in the creative stunt: without any work history, skill sets, or actual contact details printed on the page, the resume would likely be filtered out instantly by automated applicant tracking systems. Not to mention the piece of paper didn’t have any contact information either.Whether it’s an intentional creative experiment, clever personal branding, or simply a printer malfunction turned into a meme, the viral resume has achieved the one thing every applicant dreams of: getting everyone’s attention.

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte's Surprising Tube Ride Sparks Buzz

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte's Surprising Tube Ride Sparks Buzz

Princess Kate Middleton and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, hopped aboard London’s Underground for a rare outing. Kate, 44, and Charlotte, 11, were seen mingling with commuters while riding the Elizabeth Line, which travels from Greater London to parts of Buckinghamshire, Essex and Hertfordshire. “They spoke to members of the public sitting across from them,” a source told Hello! after riders spotted the duo during a public transit adventure on Saturday, October 10. “They had security with them. The security didn't make it obvious they were there and they tried to make it as 'normal' as possible.” “Catherine had her phone with her and was looking at her phone for a couple of minutes. They seemed very relaxed and were chatting together, smiling,” added the eyewitness. “It was a brief interaction with people opposite them, but they seemed very happy.” The Princess of Wales, who wore a burgundy midi dress with matching heels, held her mini-me’s hand while exiting at the Tottenham Court Road stop. Kate used to ride the tube in the years before she wed husband Prince William, but it was an unexpected appearance for Charlotte. The young royal seemed almost “amazed” as she looked around the carriage, according to a source who saw her on the newest tube line, which opened during the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee year in May 2022. As previously reported, William, 44, and Kate couldn’t be more proud of the young girl they are raising. Royal expert Sharon Carpenter told Us in April 2025, “They’ve watched Charlotte grow into a smart, confident and funny girl who knows how to hold her own both in the spotlight and outside of it.” Royal insiders said that Charlotte is well-rounded. Not only is she sporty and outdoorsy, but also fashionable and girly. “She’s following closely in her mother’s footsteps when it comes to her princess style, and she’s now regarded as a major child fashion icon,” noted Carpenter. “Charlotte has a sassy sense of humor, just like her dad.” (In addition to Charlotte, William and Kate share sons Prince George, 13, and Prince Louis, 8.) “She really enjoys helping her mother out in the kitchen and will likely be quite the chef when she gets older,” said Carpenter, who shared that William and Kate “are teaching their kids to be responsible.” Plus, Charlotte and her brothers are “encouraged to play outside or get creative.”
