Maks Chmerkovskiy Praises Alan Bersten's Surprise DWTS Performance New

Maks Chmerkovskiy Praises Alan Bersten's Surprise DWTS Performance

Former Dancing With the Stars pro Maks Chmerkovskiy is weighing in after Alan Bersten stood in for Val Chmerkovskiy on Dedication Night. "I mean, Alan stepped in for me at some point as well, so I'm very familiar with Alan stepping in," Maks, 46, exclusively told Us ahead of the 2026 Dancers Against Cancer's Gala of the Stars at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 22. "He did a great job. I think everybody can move on." News broke on Saturday, October 17, that Val, 40, would not perform with partner Jenna Dewan on season 35's Dedication Night after he made a controversial comment toward judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who called out a lift in Jenna Johnson's Super Bowl Night samba with Harry Shum Jr. Val defended his wife via social media — claiming in a since-deleted post that he almost went "Fresh Prince" on Inaba, 58 — before issuing a public apology. As Val's suspension made headlines, Us confirmed Bersten, 32, would be stepping in for the Tuesday, October 20, episode. He joined Dewan, 45, for a smooth Viennese waltz dedicated to her mother, Nancy Smith, with the actress earning her first 10 of the season. "[Val and I] were in communication," Bersten told Good Morning America on Tuesday about preparing for the routine on such short notice. "And he was like, 'Change whatever you want. Do whatever you want. Just enjoy.' So we had a lot of back and forth." While Bersten's involvement raised some eyebrows — DWTS alum Gleb Savchenko was particularly vocal about the choice before Tuesday's show — it's not the first time he's covered for a fellow pro. Back in 2017, Bersten filled in for Maks, who suffered a calf injury during rehearsals. Then a member of the troupe, Bersten joined Heather Morris for four weeks of the 24th season while Maks recovered. Bersten stepped in for Maks once again during season 25, dancing with Vanessa Lachey as Maks dealt with a "personal issue." Years later, during season 31, Bersten performed with Gabby Windey on Halloween Night after Val, her original partner, tested positive for COVID. Following his brief suspension, Val is expected to return to the ballroom with Dewan as season 35 continues. While Maks has been tuning in to the competition, he told Us on Thursday he's never voted for anyone on the show — "not even for myself." Maks was joined by a handful of DWTS alums at Thursday's event, including Sasha Farber, Kym Johnson-Herjavec and former contestant Hilaria Baldwin. "I've known these people for many, many years, and it's very personal. And I love that now this type of room is full of people that I'm very close with because we kind of all made it together, and that makes me very happy, very proud, very proud of us," Maks told Us. "I think I'm mostly excited about the end result of tonight when we announce how much we raised [to support dancers battling cancer]." Maks was also looking forward to spending the evening with icons Janet Jackson and Missy Elliott. "I mean, that's insane," he said. "I don't care how much I've done and how much access I've had in the last 20 years being here, I'm lucky. I'm blessed. It's never gonna be old."

TikToker's Fiery Rant on 'Gross' Activewear Trend Sparks Social Media Debate

See more of our coverage in your search results. A Queensland woman went viral after sharing a fiery rant about women wearing tight activewear in public, with her expletive-filled message dividing viewers. In a clip filmed inside a Townsville supermarket, TikToker Poppy questioned why some women wear short shorts or leggings that left little to the imagination.“Those women who wear that activewear, those short shorts, I think it’s great, you’re confident, you have a great figure …” she said.“But do you realize when you walk, we can actually see the shape of your f—-ng vag? Don’t come at me and say why did you look? How could you not look? It’s right there, and you’re walking towards me?“It’s like hello, can you see the shape of my (vagina)? I can, I can’t avoid it. It’s like a guy walking around in those tights and you can see their (penis).” TikToker Poppy went viral after questioning why some women wear short shorts or leggings. “It’s like a guy walking around in those tights and you can see their (penis),” she said. TikTok/popmalakaHer take sparked hundreds of comments, with some praising her candor and others accusing her of “internalized misogyny.”“She’s got a point – there’s such a thing as decency in public,” one person wrote, while another added: “Amen, finally someone said it”.“I hate this new trend, activewear belongs in the gym,” a third chimed in.Some even went so far as to call it “gross.”But others quickly fired back.“Nothing wrong with seeing the shape … we all came from one,” one commenter said.“Just look away, let me mind my own business. I’m not changing clothes, and I work hard for this body,” another responded.“It really ain’t that deep – we feel hot and confident, so why not?” someone else wrote. Many also pointed out women often stopped at the shops after working out. “Just look away, let me mind my own business. I’m not changing clothes, and I work hard for this body,” one person responded. TikTok/@shestyleswhat“What if we have to run to the shops after a gym sesh – should we go home and change? Some girls are just busy and need to get groceries after working out,” one user said.“Girls are already self-conscious walking around in activewear, so calling them out doesn’t make it better,” another replied.Whether you agree with Poppy or not, her rant touches on a larger conversation about what Australians wear in public, and how activewear has quietly become the nation’s unofficial uniform.Athleisure – the blend of athletics and leisurewear – has evolved from gym gear into an everyday wardrobe staple, reflecting how Aussie lifestyles have shifted.According to a recent report from commercial investment firm CBRE, the trend reflects changing habits around work and wellness. With hybrid and remote work now common, people look for clothes suitable for everything from Zoom calls to school runs and quick trips to the shops.A national survey commissioned by Chobani found 82 per cent of Australians under 60 wear activewear either for exercise, at home or as casual wear, with nearly 40 per cent admitting they wear it most days – if not every day.So love it or hate it, activewear is here to stay.

Miley Cyrus' Heartfelt Gesture: Shaving a Fan's Head Amid Cancer Battle

Miley Cyrus shared a touching moment with a fan facing one of her toughest battles. After fan Cash Jacobs was diagnosed with stage III cancer, she posted a call out video on social media, hoping to convince Cyrus, 33, to shave her head for her. Following the post, Cyrus’ team reached out and made it happen, with the singer picking up the clippers backstage after her October 18 show at the Hollywood Bowl. Jacobs shared footage of the experience via her Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday, October 21, praising the “Flowers” singer for agreeing to shave her head. “Are we actually doing it?” Cyrus said in the video, before quipping, “I’ve shaved my head before.” The Grammy winner shared words of encouragement with her fan, telling her, “You can be soft and strong at the same time.” Cyrus also noted that feeling mixed emotions was normal, telling Jacobs she can simultaneously think “I’m scared” as well as “I can f***ing do this.” The “Midnight Sky” singer added, “Everyone’s suffering is different.” The clip then showed Cyrus hyping Jacobs up by telling her, “Let’s go girl, let’s do it” as she proceeded to shave her head in front of a mirror while the camera rolled. https://www.tiktok.com/@cashjacobs_2/video/7699252311205481742 Jacobs shared her gratitude for the heartwarming moment via the post’s caption as well as in a follow-up TikTok video. “Miley not only flew me back out to LA with tickets to night 2 at the Hollywood Bowl but she took the time to meet me after and help me through one of the scariest and most intimate moments of my life,” Jacobs explained via the post’s caption. She continued, “Finding out I had breast cancer, getting a port put in my chest and starting chemo was hard enough as it is. Never mind the side effects I’d soon be facing from the chemo.” Noting that Cyrus’ music had often helped her navigate through difficult periods in her life, Jacobs explained how she successfully tried to get the attention of Cyrus’ team to get her head shaved by the star. Jacobs went on to describe the encounter as an “opportunity of a lifetime” and a “wish come true” and praised Cyrus for being on board with the idea. “Miley is the softest, coolest, KINDEST and most genuine human being I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting and spending time with,” Jacobs wrote. “And not to mention her SHAVING MY F***KING HEAD!!!!!! Pemberton Township Mayor Matthew Bianchini charged at local gadfly Michael Sawka and screamed “I am getting you, I am f—ing getting you!” as ex-cops and onlookers restrained him during an employment appeal hearing for a recently fired town official, according to the Pine Barrens Tribune.Ken Gerber, the township’s former director of Community Development and a retired police chief at the center of the hearing, was in the middle of accusing Bianchini’s administration of wrongdoing when tempers flared. Matthew Bianchini is held back during a Pemberton Township council meeting that erupted into a physical fight Wednesday night, Oct. 21. Pemberton TownshipBianchini — a Republican who is up for reelection this year — and Township Engineer Jennifer Harris are seen glaring at their critics, including Sawka and another resident wearing a shirt endorsing rival GOP Dan Dewey, in footage taken by the outlet. After a heated exchange and a gesture from Sawka — which the mayor later claimed was hostile toward his daughter — an enraged Bianchini is seen bolting at him. Councilman Perry Doyle Jr., a retired cop, struggles to restrain the mayor before escorting him to a nearby conference room. Two police officers, including a K9 unit, arrived soon after to wrestle control of the raucous meeting.Sawka called for Bianchini’s immediate arrest for assaulting him and verbally threatening, and refused to leave the meeting before an attorney persuaded him to do so.“I want the police here to arrest him for that threat! Ilhan Omar's Puzzling Response to Allegations Raises Eyebrows New

Ilhan Omar's Puzzling Response to Allegations Raises Eyebrows

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) on Wednesday called allegations that she married her brother “insane” – but didn’t entirely close the door to the possibility of being related to her ex-husband.“Not to my knowledge,” Omar responded, when asked by MS NOW’s Chris Hayes if there was any “weird kernel of truth” to the claim that she wed her brother. The decade-old allegations that Omar and her ex, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, got hitched in a failed effort to get him a green card originated on a “Somali blog,” and spread when “right-wing conspiracy theorists” latched onto it, Omar explained in her first interview since federal agents raided her Washington, DC, home last week.US Rep. Ilhan Omar spoke to MSNow about the early-morning raid on her house. MS NOWAhmed Nur Said Elmi, Omar’s rumored brother. Facebook“Somebody put in there that, you know, he had to have been my brother or something to that effect,” the Minnesota Democrat said.According to Omar, bloggers “went and like found random people who are like .. ‘She introduced him to us and said he was her brother,’ which is, you know, insane.”Omar then described herself as “working class” and living “paycheck to paycheck,” when asked about her current financial situation in light of documents where Omar suggested she and her husband had a combined net-worth of some $30 million, which she later claimed was a mistake and revised down.“I have a Toyota Camry that’s from 2016. It’s our only car. I rent my DC place and my Minneapolis place, and so I mean, I don’t know, that sounds like not the majority of Congress, but there’s some of us that don’t come from wealth and don’t have wealth,” she told Hayes.Homeland Security Investigations seen outside Omar’s Washington DC home on Oct. 12, 2026. Andrew Thomas/CNP for NY Post / SplashNews.comOmar indicated that she has no plans to continue to live at the DC home where Homeland Security Investigations agents executed the federal search warrant against her last week.“I can’t continue to live there, so we have to figure out where to move to,” she said, lamenting that her address was made public and “with the death threats that I deal with, it’s no longer going to be feasible to be in that house and have my kids like visiting off and on, having people track them.”The “Squad” congresswoman has been laying low since a search warrant was obtained and executed last Monday. In her first on-camera remarks since the search, Omar urged her supporters to donate to her re-election campaign so she could “fight Trump and his administration for trying to intimidate me and so many other people right before the midterm elections.”Omar accused the president of “running scared” in the minute long video, which was filmed in the back of a moving vehicle and posted on social media.Homeland Security Investigations agents raided the residence Omar shares with her husband, Tim Mynett, as part of an investigation into alleged immigration fraud.Omar spoke with MSNow host Chris Hayes for the interview. MS NOW“I thought something was on fire,” Omar said of her initial reaction when she heard the federal agents banging on her door. “I thought something was happening to the neighbors. It sounded like an urgent evacuation sort of situation.”She said agents “went room by room” and “took 17 items.”The “Squad” congresswoman said her cellphones, her daughter’s old cellphone, her husband’s notebooks, a Somali phrase book and a camera were among the items taken from the home during the search.Omar refuted reports that investigators obtained her DNA during the search.“I would have seen if they did take anything that had contained DNA,” she said. The congresswoman praised HSI agents for leaving the home tidy when they completed their search.“They did a really good job in putting everything back in its place,” she said.“They actually even folded some of my clothing that were not folded.”Omar described the raid as “intrusive but polite.”“They left the house in good shape.”The probe is being led out of the Minnesota US Attorney’s Office and may involve possible false statements on immigration documents about Omar’s birth date, sources familiar with the case told The Post.More than a dozen federal grand jury subpoenas have been issued as part of the investigation, including to relatives of Omar, the Wall Street Journal reported last week.If the Somali-born congresswoman’s citizenship was procured by the concealment of a material fact or by willful misrepresentation — either by herself or by her father, Nur Omar Mohamed  — on immigration paperwork, then the Trump administration  will seek to denaturalize and deport her, a source said last week. .Trump claims Omar could face time behind bars if she’s found to have committed immigration fraud.“She could go to jail,” Trump said of Omar on Tuesday. “They keep talking about deportation.”Omar has denied committing immigration fraud. The Minnesota Democrat maintains she became a citizen at age 17 through her father, who became a naturalized citizen in 2000, five years after emigrating to the US.A separate probe related to the congresswoman and her husband’s finances is being run out of the Washington, DC, US Attorney’s Office.Omar has denied any wrongdoing related to her finances, as well.“I’m confident in my truth. I’m confident in the fact that I didn’t do anything wrong,” she told Hayes.Omar added, “I do feel confident that when it’s all said and done that I’m going to be just fine.”

Ariana Grande's New Look: What Her Fresh Bob and Chocolate Hair Mean New

Ariana Grande's New Look: What Her Fresh Bob and Chocolate Hair Mean

Ariana Grande is saying "thank u, next" to her iconic ponytail as she debuts a brand new look for fall. The "Hate That I Made You Love Me" singer, 33, showed a sleek bob cut and a darker, chocolate hair color in a carousel of autumn photos via Instagram on Thursday, October 22. The cut is a major change from Ariana's signature ponytail and usual waist-length hair. Grande credited her makeover to stylist Brandon Pietsch, whom she's worked with often in the past. In his own Instagram post on Thursday, the L'Oréal Professionnel Global Creative Contributor made light of ditching the musician's ponytail. "The ponytail is taking a hiatus," he quipped in the caption, adding, "cut and color by me @bdonnn." Ariana chimed in via the comments section, writing, "ily !" This fresh look comes on the heels of Ariana wrapping up her Eternal Sunshine Tour with a 10-date run at London's O2 Arena, which spanned August 15 through September 1. Grande's spokesperson publicly announced in August that the star would step back from the spotlight following an intense period of scrutiny over health. (The Wicked star bowed out of a planned run of Sunday in the Park With George opposite Jonathan Bailey in the West End.) "Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour," her spokesperson told People in August. "She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny." The statement concluded, "This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.” That same month, Grande revealed she'd rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Ricky Álvarez more than a decade after they originally dated. A source exclusively told Us over the summer that the pair's reconciliation was "the real deal." "They’re still newly dating, but because there’s a lot of history there, they were able to fall back into a relationship organically," the insider revealed. Shortly before her reunion with Álvarez, 35, Grande ended her relationship with Wicked costar Ethan Slater after nearly three years of dating. "It’s amicable. They gave lots of time and careful consideration and decided to go their separate ways,” a separate insider exclusively told Us in June. “They are still friends and very supportive of one another. They have been quietly broken up for several months."

The Happiest Place on Earth is giving parkgoers a serious case of heartburn — straight to their wallets.Disney is serving up a whopping $34 burger and a $22 hot dog, leaving guests wondering if it’s also the priciest place on earth. The eye-watering menu spotted at GCH Craftsman Bar, located inside Disney’s luxurious Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, sparking a feeding frenzy on Reddit this week after a visitor shared a photo of the outrageous prices. Disney is serving up a whopping $34 burger and a $22 hot dog, leaving guests wondering if it’s also the priciest place on earth. The culinary highway robbery was brought to light on a Disneyland subreddit, in a post simply titled “$34 burger has arrived” featuring a snapshot of the menu on Tuesday. The thread racked up hundreds of blistering comments. The so-called “Craftsman Burger” comes topped with cilantro-mint aioli, Sonoma sharp white cheddar, white onion, lettuce, pickles and tomato on a brioche bun, with a side of fries. But apparently, all those fancy fixings come at a steep price. “Insane price point for a burger,” the original poster vented. Walt Disney Resorts via Getty ImagesAnd the burger isn’t even the most offensive item on the menu, according to furious Disney fans. That honor goes to the $22 “Hot Dog of the Month,” a mystery dog must ask their server about to learn more. “THAT’S your breaking point? Not the $22 hot dog or the $29 nachos?” one redditor fumed in the viral discussion, which attracted more than 1,000 upvotes.“Literally!!!! I was like I’ll pay that. But a $22 HOT DOG?! I beg your finest pardon,” another responded. One commenter joked that for $22, the hot dog of the month had better feed customers for a month. Someone else calculated that the same money could buy roughly 14 of Costco’s famous $1.50 hot dogs. The sticker shock comes as Disney visitors have already been swallowing a steady diet of price increases. In July, Disney quietly hiked prices for more than 800 food and beverage items across 178 dining locations at its two Anaheim theme parks and resort hotels, according to the LA Times. Those increases averaged roughly 8%, with some snacks jumping as much as 25%. Still, the latest menu controversy suggests that some visitors have reached their breaking point. Tragic Loss: Marathon Runner Grace Nolan's Untimely Death Shocks Community

Tragic Loss: Marathon Runner Grace Nolan's Untimely Death Shocks Community

Elite marathon runner Grace Nolan died just hours before she was scheduled to compete in the Detroit Marathon. She was 25.  Nolan was involved in a car accident in Walled Lake, Michigan, on the evening of Saturday, October 17. She succumbed to her injuries early the next morning, shortly before she was due at the starting line roughly 40 miles away.  “Wendy and I are regrettably sharing some very sad news,” Grace’s father, Jason Nolan, posted via Facebook on Tuesday, October 20. “Our daughter, Grace Nolan, was killed in a car crash this past weekend. If you knew Grace, I don't need to tell you what an amazing human she was, truly extraordinary.  Daughter, sister, girlfriend, friend, mentor, scholar, athlete, comedian....those are just a few of the ways to begin describing Grace.” Jason said his daughter was traveling with her boyfriend, Matt, when the accident occurred. “Although he sustained significant injuries, he thankfully survived and is expected to recover,” Jason wrote. “While we are devastated by this, we do know that we will endure and get on the other side of this eventually. We are thankful for all of the friends who have already reached out via text,  phone calls, emails and private messages to offer their condolences and their love to us and our family. Please also keep Matt and his family in your hearts, as I know they are hurting, as well.” Grace’s mother, Wendy Nolan, said she was “in utter awe” of the outpouring of support the family has received in the aftermath of her daughter’s death.  “I have seen so many tributes and memories shared,” Wendy shared via Facebook on Tuesday. “I'm requesting if you are comfortable, to please make all tributes public so that we can share them with all of Grace's loved ones. There are some real gems being shared and I need the world to see them. All my love to everyone. If Grace was part of your life, you were loved fiercely and whether you knew it or not, became part of our family and we love you too.” In an interview with the Detroit Free Press on Tuesday, Wendy called her late daughter “the most curious, angelic, intelligent, loyal, incredible person.” Grace was looking forward to returning to the Detroit Marathon, where she finished in 4th place last year. “Grace’s impact went well beyond her running,” marathon organizers said in a statement. “She volunteered as a phlebotomist at free clinics in our community, and she helped young girls discover running through Girls on the Run. Everyone who knew her saw her kindness, her drive and her joy.” The statement added, “To Grace’s family, friends, teammates, coaches and classmates: we hold you close and grieve with you. Grace, thank you for the light you brought to every start line. You will always be part of this race.” In addition to her running credentials, Grace was a second-year medical student at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where she was working toward her third degree. Grace had a stellar career as a student-athlete at Oakland, where she was named as the Horizon League’s 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.

Jenelle Evans' Surprising Custody Battle Resolution: What Really Happened?

Jenelle Evans' Surprising Custody Battle Resolution: What Really Happened?

A long custody battle involving Jenelle Evans’ oldest son, Jace, has come to an end. According to court documents obtained by The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, the case involving Jenelle, 34, her ex Andrew Lewis and mom Barbara Evans was “voluntarily dismissed” on Monday, October 19. A hearing that had been set for November 9 was also canceled. (Us has reached out to Jenelle for comment.) Earlier this month, Jenelle — who shares Jace, 17, with Andrew — shared an update on the teen’s living situation during a TikTok Live. “Jace is doing good. He is living with my mom,” she shared. “I know a lot of you guys are like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s because he doesn’t want to be with you’ or ‘Oh, because no one wants him to be there.’ Well, Jace is used to growing up kind of like a single child because, you know, [he was] living with my mom. And then coming to my house every weekend.” The former Teen Mom 2 star continued, “When I got custody and the dynamic of him coming into a household with two other siblings, things just didn’t — and I’m not going into details — but it just did not work out and I tried and tried and tried. And my mom tried for years. And, just, like, his mental health got the best of him.” Jenelle also shares son Kaiser, 12, with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffin and daughter Ensley, 9, with ex-husband David Eason. Earlier this summer, Jace left a facility, where he was able to work on himself and focus on his emotional well-being. At the time, Jenelle claimed, “My mother and I have mutually agreed upon his living situation and circumstances.” In a rare social media update of his own, Jace chose to address some of the speculation surrounding his living situation. “My grandma, she’s doing pretty good,” Jace shared during an August 18 Instagram Live. “I’m over here just living my life. Everyone was happy to have me back home. I’ve been doing my best.” The high school student also confirmed he has a relationship with his younger siblings and they are “doing pretty good.” “I considered [living] by myself, honestly, but I’m at my grandma’s because I’ve got a job,” he shared. “I’ve got everything I need to get done. I’m about to be done with school.” Jenelle rose to fame in 2010 on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, which documented the birth of Jace and her tumultuous relationship with his father. Cameras continued to roll as she expanded her family on Teen Mom 2 with the birth of Kaiser in 2014 and Ensley in 2017.

Halima Salman's Unprecedented U.S. Trial: The ISIS Bride's Controversial Journey

See more of our coverage in your search results. A New York City native became an ISIS bride at just 18 — and is now the first woman to face trial in the US as an alleged member of the ruthless terror group.Halima Salman, now 27, has been painted by Brooklyn federal prosecutors as an ISIS-trained machine gun-toting wannabe killer, showing footage of the young woman wielding an AK-47 assault rifle in her terrorist husband’s Syria home.“The evidence shows that the defendant received training from a violent, brutal, terrorist organization, an organization responsible for violent attacks all over the world,” Assistant US Attorney Amanda Shami told the jury Wednesday during closing statements in the week-long trial. The feds say the Brooklyn-born Salman was a teenager when her dad moved the family — including her mother and eight siblings — to ISIS-controlled territory about a decade ago. At 18, she was married to ISIS member Abu Ali.Jurors were shown the footage of Salman, pointing an AK-47 while walking back and forth in Ali’s Syria home, saying “You have to walk like…” before sheepishly asking if he was filming her.She was allegedly taught how to use the weapon by Nusaybah Katiba, a female-only ISIS battalion, prosecutors said.Halima Salman testified that she spent two years in an arranged marriage to an ISIS fighter in Syria. US. Eastern District.“I submit to you that this is not her first time with a weapon,” Shami told the court. But jurors heard a sharply dueling narrative when Salman took the stand earlier this week in the unprecedented case.Salman is out on $500,000 bond and has been living with relatives in New Hampshire, court records say. Gregory P. Mango for NY PostThe alleged would-be terrorist testified in her own defense that she does not support the terror group, despite evidence that she posed for a selfie in front of an ISIS flag during her marriage to Ali.“I believe that ISIS did very scary things which deceive the way Islam is visioned,” she told the jury in an emotional day on the stand on Monday, the New York Daily News reported.Salman testified that her ISIS-supporting father — killed in an US airstrike in 2018 — forced her to wed Ali after moving the family to an area in Syria controlled by the twisted terror group.Ali’s family paid Salman’s father a dowry of $5,000 for the arranged marriage, held in a dingy room that looked like a garage, she said.“I was scared. I had a very bad feeling about it. I was wondering if this was what was supposed to happen to me. My heart was burning,” Salman told the jury, according to Courthouse News.Salman sat calmly in a white hoodie and olive green hijab Wednesday afternoon as prosecutors displayed another key piece of evidence — a digital image of a paper document purportedly from ISIS saying she was qualified to carry a Kalashnikov rifle and 250 rounds of ammunition.Investigators recovered the letter from her husband’s phone, prosecutors said, though Salman’s lawyers with the Federal Defenders of New York have questioned the authenticity of the alleged ISIS training certificate. Allen Bailey’s Sudden Passing Sparks Reflection on a Life Well Lived

Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Allen Bailey has died. He was 37.  Bailey’s body was found by his brother, Alford Bailey Jr., inside their Florida home on Tuesday, October 20, according to TMZ. The family believes Allen died of natural causes. No official cause of death has been announced.  Following a standout college career at the University of Miami, Allen was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft.  Allen played seven seasons in Kansas City before playing the final two seasons of his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons. Former Miami football player Colin McCarthy mourned Allen’s death on social media.  “Lost a fellow brother today…prayers to AB family! Love you Big Cuzzo!” McCarthy, 38, shared via X on Tuesday.  Journalist Kevin Clark, a Miami alum, said Allen was “a classmate of mine and an impossibly good dude.” “He was obviously a great player – he played 10 years in the league – but he was also a sharp and kind soul,” Clark, 37, wrote via X on Wednesday, October 21. “He'll be missed by everyone who knew him.” Former Chiefs guard Jeff Allen shared via X on Monday, “Lost a teammate, a friend, a brother. God needed another angel. Rest easy, my brother. ️.” Allen’s cousin Antoine Armstrong said he “couldn’t believe it” when he got the phone call about the football player’s death.  “You showed everyone what it looked like to live out a dream…from being drafted by the Atlanta Falcons to playing for the Kansas City Chiefs,” Armstrong shared via Facebook on Tuesday. “You gave so many people someone to cheer for and a reason to believe their dreams were possible, too. Life truly is but a vapor." He continued, “Man, Allen Bailey, the McIntosh [Georgia] community will miss you. You were a light, and the love you shared and the lives you touched will not be forgotten. Rest easy, cousin. I’ll never forget all the times we had together growing up bro.” After retiring from the NFL, Allen routinely gave back to his community in southeast coastal Georgia and Florida via the Allen Bailey Foundation.  According to the foundation’s website, the organization offers “football camps, community events, and digital resources tailored to foster talent and promote academic readiness.” “With a decade of NFL experience, Allen brings a unique perspective to mentor and guide participants,” the site added. “ABF stands out for its commitment to holistic growth, providing valuable resources both in on-site and remote formats.”
