It’s also a major thread that’s stitching lonely hearts together, per surprising new data. Researchers for Feeld, a dating app for open-minded individuals, recently determined that tennis buffs generate roughly 45% more meaningful connections than fans of other major sports. More titillating, the findings also revealed higher rates in kink-forward desires, such as role play, edging, exploration and domination, in rascals with a fondness for the rackets. Feeld study authors found that tennis players over-index in kinky proclivities, owing, in part, to an inclination toward intellectual stimulation. Amanda Kloots is showing off her redesigned engagement ring — and reminding mourners that there's no timeline to grief — following her late husband Nick Cordero’s 2020 death. “You don’t have to stop wearing your engagement ring just because you took it off and years have gone by,” Kloots, 44, said in a video shared via Instagram on Friday, September 4, before showing off  the customized ring. “Guys, I took my engagement ring off after, like, about a year and it was sitting in my jewelry box collecting dust until one day I was just like, ‘I want to wear my ring again.’” She continued, “I contacted the jeweler, Stephanie Gottlieb, and we co-created a new design for my engagement ring into a ring that I can wear every single day. You can, at any time, take this piece of jewelry and recreate it into something that is still so meaningful.” Cordero died in July 2020 from complications related to COVID-19. Months prior, Cordero was admitted into Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and diagnosed with pneumonia before testing positive for coronavirus at the height of the pandemic. He spent over 90 days in the hospital before his death. He was 41. How long do I wear my ring? When should I take it off? Can I keep wearing it? What should I do with it now?” She continued, “The short answer is: YOU DO YOU! There are no rules when it comes to grief, and you need to do whatever feels right and makes YOU happy. Four years after loss, I decided to redesign my engagement ring into something I could wear and love every day instead of keeping it tucked away in a box. I am SO glad I made this decision.” In July, Kloots marked six years since her late husband’s untimely death. “Today marks six years since Nick passed away,” she wrote via Instagram on July 5. “If you knew him, you were lucky. If you didn’t and you’ve been following me, hopefully you have an idea of what a magnificent human being he was. Everyone loved him. He loved everyone. He truly lived life to the fullest, although it was cut short at just 41 years old. His face graced stages and screens, and his voice could be shrill like rock and roll or smooth like Frank Sinatra. To believe in myself.” She added at the time, “I know it might seem weird to say, but even though he is gone from this earth, I almost feel more connected to him spiritually now. It may look different, yes, but I feel closer to him now, six years after his death. He sends me signs almost daily. I ask him for them, he responds and I talk right back! Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell is sharing a somber health update after revealing his recent cancer diagnosis. “I’m in a five-year prognosis,” the horror movie icon, 68, shared on the Wednesday, September 2, episode of “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast. “With the type of cancer that I have, which I don’t want to get into, the current thing is a five-year deal.” When host Adam Carolla asked the actor if that meant he only has “five years to live,” the star responded in the affirmative. “Give or take,” he said. In March, Campbell revealed he has been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer. “Hi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it’s referred to as an ‘opportunity,’ so let’s go with that — I’m having one of those,” he wrote via X at the time. “It’s also called a type of cancer that is ‘treatable’ not ‘curable.’” The Army of Darkness star admitted that his diagnosis was a “shock” before adding that he only decided to share his prognosis publicly due to his various upcoming public appearances. “I’m posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change — appearances and cons and work in general need to take a back seat to treatment,” he continued at the time. “My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie Ernie & Emma this fall.” He added, “Regrets on my part. Treatment needs and professional obligations don’t always go hand-in-hand.” Campbell is the star and director of Ernie & Emma, while his wife, Ida Gearon, serves as a producer. The road-trip comedy follows a widowed pear salesman who goes on an adventure to scatter his wife’s ashes. A content creator who goes by the handle @TheCrookedMan10 spent more than 200 days training only his left trapezius muscle. The bizarre experiment has left him with a large and extremely noticeable imbalance between the two sides of his body, and his before-and-after images show just how much his left trapezius has developed. He's deliberately trying to become more asymmetrical While bigger traps can change a person's physique, the teen isn't interested in developing both sides equally. Instead, he describes what he's doing as "looksminimizing," an intentional effort to make his appearance more asymmetrical. The idea is framed as the opposite of " looksmaxxing ," a trend that encourages young men to change their appearance through potentially dangerous methods. One well-known person taking part in that trend is Clavicular , a controversial streamer who has been open about using steroids and other extreme practices in pursuit of his appearance. "Why does the one trap guy work out one trap? It's pretty simple. I was scrolling TikToks in my Ferrari, and I kept getting these looksmaxxing TikToks," the Crooked Man said. "They were like, 'Do this, do that. You'll look more attractive. You'll get more women.' And it's like, people have that problem? I have the opposite problem. I get so many DMs, I don't even have time to get through them all." "'So I thought, 'If I have the opposite problem, then I need the opposite solution.' What's the opposite of looksmaxxing? Looksminimizing. What was the best way to looksminimize? Become more asymmetrical." "Work out one trap, it solved my problem. And man, it has worked like a charm,'" he added. Safe to say that a lot of people were still confused by his explanation and warned that he could face long-term damage if he continues. "The problems you will face later in life will not be worth it," one person said. "Even your jaw and face are uneven. You're causing problems for the rest of your life," another pointed out. A third advised: "Your literaly taking a breath every sentence I don't think you should keep going." "Anything for views," a fourth slammed. "I really hope that he knows the risk of what he's doing... I suspect at that age they may not appreciate the long term health risk. It's a bit sad really," one user on Reddit added. More than 200 days spent developing one trap apparently weren’t enough for the Crooked Man, as he has extended his experiment to another part of his body: one of his glutes , and is now training one of his legs. Brittany Gibbons and her husband Andy trialled a whole year of having sex every day, which she initiated to find her old self after having a third child. She explained to Women's Health : "Shortly after having my third child, I remember getting out of the shower, catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and wondering, 'Who let my mum in here?' "From that point on, I didn't let myself be naked. I kept the lights off during sex, hid my stomach and boobs inside a camisole, and I waited for my husband to leave the bedroom before barreling from the shower to my closet to get dressed." She revealed that the idea to have sex every day was sparked by a friend who'd done the same, adding: "Having sex every day for a year seemed obnoxious, but also an intriguing way to force myself into facing my body each day. I mean eventually, the covers would have to come off and the lights would have to stay on, right? "Andy, as expected, was on board. And for a whole year, save for being parted by travel or the stomach flu, we had sex with each other." Brittany admitted it still took some time to get used to the idea, when she initially found it a bit of a chore and would have preferred some alone time to unwind amongst the many stresses of everyday life. But as the months went on, she found she began to look forward to the daily intimacy, explaining: "We were more romantic with each other, touching arms as we passed, kissing longer before work and not just the cold familiar peck. Our relationship was stronger and better when our intimacy was flourishing." Sex is a personal thing. Brittany shared an update three years after the experiment, revealing that while she no longer has sex with Andy every day, many of the benefits had continued. They're busy being stressed at work, coordinating their kids' football schedules and paying bills," she explaine. "Fitting sex into all of that is difficult, but for us, it's necessary. Sex is what reminds us that we're intimate partners and not just roommates in charge of keeping kids alive." It also helped them to learn how much sex they need to keep them both happy in their marriage, explaining: "I no longer freak out if two weeks pass and we forget to have sex, because we work to connect in other ways. "Intimacy doesn't always mean penetration. Sometimes it's making out on the couch like teenagers. We all get to decide what turns us on. The point is, the effort to show love to each other is there." Patrick Clancy and his legal team are reacting to a judge’s decision to declare a mistrial in his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy’s murder case. “Patrick Clancy is grateful to the Court and to the jurors for their hard work, their commitment and their perseverance,” Patrick’s attorney David Meier said in a statement to CBS News on Friday, September 4. “The loss of Patrick’s children is something from which he will never recover and from which there will never be closure.” The statement continued, “The prospect of reliving this tragedy through another trial is extraordinarily painful — for Patrick, for his family and for all of us.” Earlier in the day, a judge declared a mistrial following a nearly six-week trial for the murder of the former couple’s three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Jurors deliberated for nearly seven days, but ultimately could not reach a unanimous decision and were deadlocked 11-1. Lindsay previously admitted to fatally strangling her three kids in January 2023 before an apparent suicide attempt, which left her paralyzed from the waist down. Her defense team has argued that she had been suffering from postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder before and at the time of the killings, claiming she was not able to differentiate right from wrong and therefore should not be held criminally responsible for her children’s deaths. On Friday, Lindsay’s attorney Kevin Reddington was asked about his client’s ex-husband. “I think, Patrick, you heard the 911 call; I think you can judge his credibility by that 911 call,” Reddington told reporters via NBC News. “I don’t know what is in Patrick’s mind when he testified, and the jury was able to evaluate him.” When asked about rumors and speculation on social media that have falsely accused Patrick of murder, Reddington replied, “Regarding the people on the internet, I certainly don’t dismiss them. It’s amazing how they’re able to figure out facts, and they do investigations; it’s just truly amazing. This whole concept of the internet, it really is.” Patrick, who has not been accused or charged with a crime involving his children, was one of the first individuals to testify during the trial. He described the day he found his wife after she jumped out of a second-story window of their home. “She killed the kids!” he yelled in a 911 call played for the jury. As prosecutors decide whether to move forward with another trial, Lindsay’s defense team is sharing their perspective on the high-profile murder case. “Well, obviously this is not a time for gloating or bragging, expressing victory. It’s a very sad case,” Reddington told reporters on Friday amid a deadlocked 11-1 jury. “[Plymouth County District Attorney Tim] Cruz knows that he was crushed, that he doesn’t have a case, he doesn’t have to stand here and say that he’s advocating on behalf of the victims and then look down to see what their names are.” Reddington continued, “I’m representing a woman who is a fantastic, wonderful individual. This woman is so brave; so awesome. Every day she came into this courthouse, stood tall — no pun intended, the poor thing is in a wheelchair as we all know for the rest of her life — sat there through seven weeks of a trial where nobody had anything bad to say about her except for the two prosecutors and apparently Tim Cruz.” After court, Cruz tried to remind the public about the three children lost in a terrible situation. “In the end, I bring it all back to the child victims in this case, Cora, Dawson, and Callan. This was, and it has always been, about getting justice for those three little babies,” he told reporters. “We’re here at this courthouse today because those children are not.
